Introduction

Coming up at King’s Lynn, Saturday 14th March @ 5:00pm, four highly entertaining formulas 1500cc Bangers, 2L Bangers, Junior Bangers & 1300 Stock Cars. Another great evening of Banger and Stock Car racing with Trackstar – voted Banger Promoter of the Decade by Ovalchat. Not to be missed! There’s nothing domestic about this meeting with Championship Wild Card places up for grabs in the 1500 and 2L Bangers expect the action to come thick and fast!

There are currently 43 2L Bangers, 61 1500cc Bangers, 29 Junior Bangers and 34 1300 Stock Cars booked in to race.

This meeting is fully booked; drivers if you are not booked in and would like to be added to the reserve list please text 07939 580652. Drivers if you are booked in and no longer able to race, please also contact us as we have a long reserve list of drivers. Junior Bangers drivers should contact their home promotion. Drivers turning up not booked in to race will not be allowed to race. Thank you for your cooperation.

Drivers please note that the pits open at 2:00pm. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits.

Spectator gates will open at 3:00pm. The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under-cover viewing too!), free on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities.

Please note that all bags will be searched on entry and coolboxes, glass and alcohol are not allowed to be bought into the venue.

2Litre Bangers

A strong field of 2Litre banger racers joining us on Saturday and with Wild Card places up for grabs for the Trackstar World Final later this year, which will go to the meeting final winner along with the the top three entertainers; you can bet the action will come thick and fast.

PRI World Champion Ashley Garrod (337) will be one of the top drivers to keep an eye on, as will former points champion Lee White (830), both likely to feature well in the results and will have sights set on the Final win; similarly Terry Garrod (338) who took a very credible third place in the 2L Saloon Final a couple of weeks ago. Wes Freestone (340) and Ben Mynott (352) are also equally capable of chasing down the Wild Card place in the Final and  worth watching from the back of the pack. 

Action packed 2L Banger action at King's Lynn

Whilst in the Entertainer stakes there’s a long list of candidates who could snap up those three places and blitz their way to the World Final.

The Predators out in force in the way of former Entertainer of the Year Kieran Bowman (178); joined by Lee Middlton (519), Chris Horton (227) & Luke Allen (779), who all don’t mind getting stuck in the 2L Bangers; likewise James Licquorice (51) and Jack Maryon (212) from Team Allsorts. Team Aftermath driver Callum White (100) seems to favour the 2L bangers, as does Ross Cooper (604), they will very likely be putting the hits about.

Lewis Godfrey (93) makes a rare 2L Bangers outing, but is usually in amongst the action in the other banger classes raced; expect the same again on Saturday. Kenny Gabriel (720) is a regular 2L Banger pilot at King’s Lynn, some commitment from his Bristol base; he often takes a big wreck home from getting involved. Aaron Nelson (699) and Stu Carmen (841) are also two drivers worth keeping an eye on Saturday.

1500cc Bangers

The mid size class continues to turn out big numbers; another great line up from them. Off the back of the excellent 1500 Icebreaker, a superb evening is sure to be on the cards. Much like the 2L Bangers Wild Card places are available to the National Championship in December. 

Lots of cars, lots of action expected!

Tarmac 2L Banger World Champion and 1500cc Banger National Champion Callum Gill (757) leads the charge in this class, he had a tremendous year in 2019, topping the Trackstar Points Chart also; he will be looking to kick start his defending year with a good start.

Former National Champion Tony Pallett (566) is back in a 1500 Banger and looking to get back on form that he finished the class in; whilst Brett Jackson (551) dramatically improved in 2019 and will be looking to carry this on in 2020.

It will be a busy night for a number of drivers who will be doubling up with the 2L Bangers; Kieran Bowman (178), Terry Garrod (338), Jack Garrod (339), Ben Mynott (352), Lee White (830) – all hands on deck in those teams!

Broken cars is always a common sight!

Lee Barnes (41), Jamie Blything (248) and Jack Rookard (910) are 1500 Banger regulars and it will be interesting to see how they get on Saturday. Likewise Davey Cox (119) who is back after his team were crowned Icebreaker Entertainers. Former World Champion and National Champion Cox is always in the mix of things!

After an impressive career in the Juniors Bangers; particularly around King’s Lynn – Joey Holmes JNR (90) makes his Senior debut at the Adrian Flux Arena and will be out to impress we’re sure!

1300 Stock Cars

A fantastic meeting two weeks ago to kick off the 1300 Stock Car season, they’re back for more on Saturday and a great line up set to join us once again.

National Points Champion Jacob Bromley (303) had a disappointing opening night last time, will be out to make up for that this evening. Dan Booth (216) and Todd Payne (149) joining Bromley at the back of the grid, these drivers don’t budge an inch and will battle bumper to bumper to the flag.

Last time out Paul Sparrow (682) took a hattrick of wins in the three races he competed in; it might be a tough challenge to ask the same again, but he will be giving it a go on Saturday!

Daniel Rea (60) will be one to watch, as will Beau Southgate (241) and Conner Sheldrake (535). Expect the bumpers to be going with the likes of Jack Lowers (142), Kevin Shinn (400) and Martin Taylor (422) on track too!

Under 25 Champion Luke Smith (301) could take some stopping off the White grade, but surrounded by long list of quick lowers graders, they might not let him get him away! The Whites and yellows will take on the 2019 W & Y grade finale, expect the bumpers to go in hard in that one!

No holding back, expect the bumpers to go in!

  

Junior Bangers

It’s the first time we’ll see the Juniors here in 2020 and with almost 30 of them booked in, we’re looking forward to seeing them back, they are always great entertainment and hugely competitive.

World Champion Blake Platts (450) leads the charge; joined by National Points champion Harry Gelsthorpe (555) who will be looking to give him a run for his money.

Tough competition will come from King's Lynn regulars Lennie Murkin (608), Keaton Ivins (842) and Louie Cottrill (999) who will make it  tough for the champions to get the break.

Harvey Webb (622) is rapidly improving each time we see him race and we’re looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings for the youngster; similarly white grader Harvey Latkowski (310) could be on for some big things in the Juniors.

Riley Holmes (190), Riley Shinn (400) and Alfie Nottingham (707) in the infancy of their career will be looking to get up to speed too.

The Juniors will be competing in the White and Yellow grade 2019 finale too – grid will be added asap; the lower grader races give some other drivers the chance to shine and they will seize that chance!

These Juniors won’t hold back!
