Introduction
A big night of BriSCA with a three formula treat on the line up; F1 Stock Cars, F2 Stock Cars and Ministox. The BriSCA F1 Stock Cars will race in Round 3 of the Teng Tools Track Championship and Round 4 of the BOSS Supporters Championship, for the BriSCA F2’s it’s Round 4 of the World of Shale Qualification and in the Ministox it’s the King’s Lynn Open. Lots to play for! The meeting starts at 5:30pm, with a pre meeting race for the Ministox at 5:15pm.
Voted Track of the Year 4 years consecutively, plus 2018 and 2019 average F1 meeting ratings of at least 8/10. We’ve had some spectacular incidents and excellent racing so far; what’s will happen in the next instalment of BriSCA action at the Adrian Flux Arena King’s Lynn.
The Spectator gates will open at 3:30pm. The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under-cover viewing too!), FREE on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities. Please note that all bags will be searched on entry and coolboxes, glass and alcohol are not allowed to be bought into the venue.
There are currently 46 F1 Stock Cars, 52 F2 Stock Cars and 28 Ministox booked in to race.
Any driver who turns up unbooked will not receive any complimentary admissions / start monies which they may be entitled to. If you are not listed below and would like to race please contact the relevant governing bodies for F1 Stock Cars and Ministox, F2 drivers can book in by contacting 07939 580652.
Drivers please note that the pits open at 2pm and your early arrival will be appreciated. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits
BriSCA Formula One
The BriSCA F1 Stock Cars will race in Round 3 of the Teng Tools Track championship and Round 4 of the BOSS Supporters Championship. BOSS is the last remaining Stock Car Supporters club; more information can be found in their Facebook Group here.
The top ten in the BOSS Championship currently stand as:
1 526 Finn Sargent 122pts
2 4 Dan Johnson 96pts
3 70 Aaron Leech 84pts
4 25 Bradley Harrison 61pts
5 515 Frankie Wainman Jnr 60pts
6 175 Karl Hawkins 56pts
7 53 John Lund 54pts
8 211 Phoebe Wainman 46pts
9 278 Paul Hopkins 45pts
10 335 Mark Woodhull 44pts
The qualification process continues to try and secure a booking for the Autotech Recruit BriSCA F1 World Final; 250pts needed – April’s meeting was worth 150 attendance points, all others worth 50 – if drivers did March, April and then race this weekend – automatically qualified for a World Final night booking no matter what. Plus of course – track time could prove pivotal in the result on the night.
The top drivers battling for position is a regular sight at King's Lynn
In the Teng Tools track championship Frankie Wainman (515) leads the way; which is extraordinary consistency from Wainman, topping the table without winning a race at King’s Lynn; he will be hoping for more of the same to keep his lead after this weekend.
Other Norfolk based Star driver Mat Newson (16) returned to racing action and found form straight away – we’re glad to see him well enough to race and hope his good results continue.
Big incidents and hard, fast racing have been a regular occurrence at King’s Lynn, more so this season. Geoff Nickolls (215) and Paul Hopkins (278) can vouch – both will be hoping for a better outing this Saturday.
Geoff Nickolls (215) went for a big ride last time out.
Local driver Willie Skoyles Jnr (541) has had a tough few outings whilst he finds his feet; back on his home track he will be hoping for support cheered on by his local fans.
Willie Skoyles (541) will be hoping to not get caught up this time out.
Last month Liam Gilbank (21) drove a sterling race to victory in the meeting Final, seeing off a challenge from fellow white grader John Wright (348) – fantastic to see lower graders battling for the win. Both will be upgraded following their success and it will be good to see how they get on.
Action all the way in the BriSCA F1 Stock Cars
F2 Stock Cars
The top drivers from the shale BriSCA F2 scene will be joining us for their second outing of the season around the Adrian Flux Arena, racing for World of Shale points.
Billy Webster (226) is top of the table in the WoS points and looking to increase his lead this Saturday; a second in the final here last time, will he go one better this time?
Dan Ford (12) will be hot on his heels though, heat and final last time here in March, can he replicate that form once more?
Danny Ford (12) still managed two wins despite this trip up last time here.
A field of handy shale regulars all with the talent to go well join the line up; Jake Walker (298), Daz Shaw (377), and Michael Lund (995), all of which have good form around King’s Lynn previously.
Courtney Finnikin (55) has piloted her new car to red grade in the opening months; the upgrading unlikely to phase her either and will be battling with the best this Saturday.
Courtney Finnikin (55) will certainly be one to keep an eye on.
Other drivers to take the chequered flag this season joining us include, Gary Ford (26), Andrew Palmer (606) and Dave Massey (977) – again drivers who can hold their own on shale and likely to be doing so again this Saturday.
Rob (233) and Scott (715) Aldridge from King’s Lynn will surely be in the middle of the action and hopefully pick up good results at their home track. Likewise for Jason Cooper (682) from down the road in Downham Market.
A full field of BriSCA F2 Stock cars expected.
Ministox
Completing the line up Saturday is the National Ministox, with 30 of them expected, racing for the King’s Lynn Open. The main race will be open to the 26 highest scoring drivers from the 30th March meeting and the 25th May meeting combined.
World of Shale Champion Lewis Evans (392) will be joined by rival, National Champion, Jack Witts (1). Witts took the King’s Lynn Open Final last time in October – a race with lots of bumper work that is the norm for the formula.
Jack Witts (1) is the current holder of the King's Lynn open
Rebecca Smith (391) is certainly on form at the minute, taking the Skegness Open on the 12th May and the Midland Championship at Stoke last Saturday. She will be one to watch this Saturday and highly likely to feature well.
Rebecca Smith (391) has been in great form lately and will take some stopping.
Ian Lewis (93) also will be one to watch – travelling all the way from Carnforth, Lancashire to be with us; he is also on a rich vein of form – three wins and a second place in the meeting final at Stoke last weekend; keep an eye out for the 93 machine!
Funfair Rides
All the fun of the fair will be at King's Lynn on Saturday and the good news for Mum and Dad is that the ride will be free for the kids to go on as often as they like! Joining us on Saturday night is the Helter Skelter ride!
