Introduction

The season ends at the Adrian Flux Arena, King’s Lynn, with a chance to blow off the Christmas cobwebs on Sunday 30 December (1pm). The hugely popular Micro Bangers contest their annual three-a-side team meeting, and will be joined by 1300cc Stock Cars and Junior Bangers.

The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under cover viewing too!), free on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities. Please note that all bags will be searched on entry and coolboxes, glass and alcohol are not allowed to be bought into the venue.

 

There are 98 Micro Bangers (35 teams), 32 1300cc Stock Cars and 33 Junior Bangers booked in to race.

 

Any driver who turns up unbooked will not receive any complimentary admissions / start monies which they may be entitled to. If you are not listed below and would like to race please contact:  07939 580652

Drivers please note your early arrival will be appreciated. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits

 

Micro Bangers

The usual massive entry of Micro Bangers will provide action galore to end the year in style. Heading the entry are defending champions Team Bash led by Lynn local 673 Darren Fendley and also featuring the entertaining 155 Sam Coote and 674 Luke Childerhouse.

The only team to have won this event twice is Team Mates, and they have given themselves an excellent opportunity to claim more honours with three teams entered. National points champion 830 Lee White leads a very strong ‘A’ team into action alongside UK champion 566 Tony Pallett and 175 Carl Corsby.

Runners-up last year, the Stark brothers’ Team Skint are bound to frontrunners once again, as few drivers are quicker than 88 Lyndon, 887 Liam and 888 Lloyd Stark.

The day’s Entertainers’ League is likely to be even more hotly contested than the overall points title, as Micro Bangers are really all about crashing. This year’s individual Entertainers’ League winner, 178 Kieran Bowman, leads the legendary Predators team into action alongside brother Brad (279) and 219 Robert Betts.

The equally famous Gladiators field a team manned by some of their up-and-coming stars, while the Licquorice brother’s Allsorts teams are sure to get well stuck in. The Deans’ Meat squads should be in the thick of the action, as will Micro Banger specialists Team Bilge. 

"The Warlords" and "Allsorts" will likely be in the middle of the action!

 

The Warlords are always up for a good crash to entertain the crowd too and feature former Mr Men runner 579 Gary Beecham and commentator extraordinaire 974 Alistair Oxby across their two line-ups.

We will be delighted to welcome two teams entered by the entertaining Jokers from the south coast after they suffered major equipment loss in a recent fire.

World of Shale champion 216 Dan Booth has already clinched his third national points title and will be looking to end the season in style at his local track. Outgoing points champion 450 Luke Jackson will carry the silver roof for the final time, while Startrax man 367 Tom Keep should also display his own silver roof colours.

But for a late start to the season, one man who might have stopped Booth’s march to the crown is 303 Jacob Bromley. The Ministox graduate has been a revelation since his debut in a borrowed car in August. He won the Steve Newman Memorial a couple of weeks later that day among a staggering total of 12 race wins that have launched him through the grades. Bromley will be racing under a red roof for the first time at this meeting. 

After a fantastic showing in tricky conditions last time out at King’s Lynn, new British 25-and-under champion 55 Ricky Ivatt will be aiming to continue that kind of form. Other likely frontrunners include 149 Todd Payne and 421 Chris Taylor.

444 Natasha Wales makes only her second King’s Lynn appearance of the season, while there is a first outing at the track in this formula for Banger man 72 Billy Bond, who recently debuted at Stoke 

 

Junior Bangers 

Northern star 90 Joey Holmes has already successfully retained his national points title. Now he’ll be aiming to prove he is still the man to beat going into 2019. He will face strong competition from Ministox star 304 Danny Elbourn, plus experienced juniors 77 Lewis Ivatt, 608 Lennie Murkin and 999 Louie Cottrill.

2017 world champion 131 Harley McCarthy hasn’t had as strong results this year but, having been downgraded to yellow, he will surely be tough to beat from the front half of the grid, although experienced runners 08 Finlay Damon and 229 Harry Cobb find themselves in a similar position.

The ‘Minitator’ 854 Aiden Storr will be out to entertain as always, while the white grade is packed with the youngest drivers in the early stages of their racing careers who will provide the unpredictability that short oval racing is renowned for.
