Racing Preview

The annual Halloween Carnival Night is a hugely popular event on all sides of the fence. A big booking list and a big crowd anticipated- the event is firmly a favourite amongst regular race goers and newcomers alike, and 2019 looks set to be one of the most spectacular yet for action and not forgetting the huge fireworks spectacular.

Spectator gates will open at 11am. The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under-cover viewing too!), free on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities.

Please note that all bags will be searched on entry and coolboxes, glass and alcohol are not allowed to be bought into the venue

There are 80 Unlimited Bangers, 36 1300 Stock Cars and 11 Reliant Robins

Drivers, If you would like be added to the booking list, please text 07939 580652 to be added to the list. If you are booked in and are no longer able to race, please let us know asap. Drivers turning up not booked in to race will not be allowed to race. Thank you for your cooperation.

Drivers please note that the pits open at 10am. Drivers turning up in the last hour could well find themselves missing their first race. Please note you will not be able to save space in the pits and if you want to park with someone please make sure you turn up with them. Only race transporters will be allowed in the pits

Unlimited Bangers

The excellent entry of Unlimited Bangers includes some of the biggest name and the greatest entertainers from across the country. We are expecting an array of cars for this event including with early indication of an impressive 22 Hearse or Limousines! A race designated specifically for those bringing a Hearse or Limo should certainly open the evening well!

791 hearse 1

For the Unlimited Bangers they will race in the 25 and Under Championship of GB, currently held by Callum Gill (757), Gill is certainly a force to be reckoned with and is one of the top racers around the King’s Lynn shale at the moment, so likely to feature well in the championship defence. Also being raced for is the King of the Fens title, defended by Joey Reynolds (760).

195 388

Dave Vincent (22) is certainly one of top racers and will be leading the charge for the top honours, but he will face stiff competition from current TSR World Champion Jordan Cumming (570) and former World Champion Daren Fendley (673), amongst many others who will be in search of the chequered flag.

Long distance travellers in the form of Buddy (262) and Jonny (362) James from Devon are good all round performers and happy to race and wreck when need be. Likewise the more locally based Lee Barnes (41) and James Licquorice (51), neither shy of getting stuck in on the action.

467 619

Further action will be provided by the Gladiator and Shunters teams who are turning out in force for this one, they don’t need any encouragement to go wrecking and rumour has it they will be bringing a few special motors for the occasion! Taylor Sowter (388) is “smashing it” in the Entertainers league, he is miles ahead in the points and along with team mates Carl Sowter (288) and Tom Filmer (884) could certainly give anyone a run for their money. Similarly the Aftermath representation from Callum White (100) and Ross Cooper (604).

549 960

A mouth watering line up- racers and wreckers, we’re in for a good night of Banger racing!

1300 Stock Cars

The 1300cc Stock Cars will also race in their 25-and-under Championship, defended by Ricky Ivatt (55).  Lauren Overy (317) and Jacob Bromley (303) among those likely to take it away from him.

Beau Southgate (241) and Steven Murphy (561) could take some stopping from near the front; both very capable of getting into a good position at the chequered flag. Likewise John Klyn (61) and Polly Reade (285) who handy performers off of the white grade.

Whilst further back a hard charging Jack Lower (142), Martin Taylor (422) and Ben Englestone (769) will be making use of their front bumpers to ensure they move up the order -they won’t be hanging back!

303 317

Big crashes, pile ups and rollovers are all part of the spectacle that ensure the 1300 Stock Cars are a firm favourite wherever they appear.

Reliant Robins

Yes that’s right! three-wheel racers! Trying to keep these machines facing the right way whilst driving at speed takes some doing, but when they roll; they roll big!

Another good field of Robins scheduled to be with us; including Daniel Douglas (553) who was crowned World of Shale champion at King’s Lynn in August. Roy Gedge (385) finished second behind him on that occasion and will be looking to make amends on the 26th.

Colin Aldred (576) is almost certain to be in entertaining form and will be one to keep an eye on, as is Chalkie Douglas (554) who likes to make use of the bumper to topple over his competitors.

385 781 dw

Others likely to feature well will be Tommy Tatham (197) who has had great results this year and Ray Layton (16) who can never be discounted.
