Introduction

A huge night of Stock Car action lined up this Saturday, a double Bumper British! Both the 2L Saloon Stock Cars and 1300 Stock Cars race in the respective Championship, a good grid of 2L Saloons booked, a huge booking list from the 1300 Stock Cars and equally exciting list from the F2 Heritage cars expected racing in the Alf Taylor Memorial. Thank you to Ray Goudy Trailer Repairs for sponsoring the 2L Saloon British Championship

If the British Championship wasn’t enough the 1300 Stock Cars race for the Steve Newman Memorial too.

Big grids, big action!

There are 39 2L Saloon Stock Cars, 83 1300 Stock Cars and 15 F2 Heritage Stock Cars booked in to race.

The pit gate will open for competitors at 1pm, the gates for ticket holders will open at 3pm. Please have your e-ticket confirmation ready, either on your phone or printed.

A small amount of food and drink can be bought with you into the stadium; alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. Thank you.

Off the back of a really busy time for the 2L Saloons, they’re here with around 40 cars for their Ray Goudy Trailer Repairs British Championship event – thank you to them for their sponsorship of the event, most of the top names will be looking to be here as you’d expect. National Points Champion Deane Mayes (730), World of Shale Champion Luke Dorling (120), National Champion Buster Compton-Sage (902) will be lining up in the champions grade and newly crowned English Champion Lee Sampson (428) – congratulations to Lee on his victory last weekend. They will all have the bit between their teeth searching for the chequered flag, but who will stop them? Keep an eye on Michael Allard (349) and Ryan Santry (349) who are going well and could take the crown. Along with the Barnes Family; Tommy (26), Timmy (131) and Harry (126) all took the top three spots in the Steve Newman Memorial trophy on Bank Holiday Monday, Harry taking the win, he could feature very well in the heat rounds, will he hang on in the big race?

If the British Championship wasn’t enough for the 1300 Stock Cars they race for the Steve Newman Memorial too. 80 cars are booked in which is a phenomenal list, the biggest potentially ever for the formula. Where to start! The 1300 Stock Cars really are the formula to watch at the minute, some of the best Stock Car racing you will see anywhere and unpredictable racing too, the form book really doesn’t tell you who will win and the top drivers struggle to get on a par with the lower graders. Jack Smith (302), Jacob Bromley (303), Jake Banwell (391) and Chris Taylor (421) will be ones to watch from the Trackstar hopefuls that are already seed to the grid. Likewise from Spedeworth World Champion Lee Pearce (23) will be one to watch, although not currently booked at the time of writing, whilst from HRP Andrew Mathieson (124) and Euan Mathieson (125) will be worth keeping an eye on. Or will a winner come from the last chance races? They will certainly be hard fought contests, you won’t know where to look!

The F2 Heritage cars are in town too – a great formula, with some great competitive racing, battling out for the Alf Taylor Memorial Trophy, Andy Bateman (763) the current holder and will be looking to keep hold of the trophy, Graham and Jack Bunter will be looking to chase him down to the flag. We look forward to seeing how they get on in a rare visit to King’s Lynn.

It’s a day of big grids, big action!
