Introduction

Coming next…Saturday Stock Car showdown, the 1300 Stock Cars return to do battle for the European Championship, a title raced here in 2018, the formula has gone through a wave of popularity since then; lots of cars, lots of high impact Stock Car action coming up. The fence will rattle and the sparks will fly as they compete for one of the biggest titles in the class and not only that, but one of the most meaningful races in the class, the Steve Newman Memorial, stakes are high for the 1300 Stock Cars this Saturday. Alongside them will be the hard hitting, brutal, 2L Saloon Stock Cars in their last meeting here ahead of the ORCi Championship in September and joining this great line up are the equally impressive BriSCA F2 Stock Cars racing in their last meeting at the track ahead of the World Final event in September... track time could prove vital in the quest for the gold! Super Stock Car Saturday, do you dare miss it?

Stock Car Racing is Magic …68 years and STILL Thrill Of The Century! Thrills, spills, racing, crashing and bumping the opposition out the way; is all part of the game!

A night of pure, superb, Saturday night Stock Car action.

There are 55 1300 Stock Cars, 32 2L Saloon Stock Cars and 40 F2 Stock Cars booked in to race.

The pit gate will open for competitors at 2pm, the gates for ticket holders will open at 3pm. If purchased advance tickets, please have your e-ticket confirmation ready, either on your phone or printed. The pit gate is for competitors only, there is no pedestrian access at this gate.

The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under cover viewing too!), FREE on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, food outlets and other great facilities.

A small amount of food and drink can be brought with you into the stadium; alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. Thank you.

We hope you enjoy your evening with Trackstar at King's Lynn.

Super Stock Car Saturday

The 1300 Stock Cars continue to show themselves as one of the top formulas; almost 60 cars scheduled on Saturday for the European Championship. All of our regular racers intending to be here, plus a number of seeded entries from North of the Border and across the Spedeworth Family of tracks. Kyle Hegg (715) is your defending champion, a handful of appearances here at Kings’ Lynn in 2022, but some bad luck follows him here, which is tough given he’s one of the contenders from North of the Border! Hegg will be hoping he’s used up his bad luck here by now. World Champion Lee Pearce (23) hasn’t been seen too much in the class, concentrating on his efforts in the Minis on the circuits, but he sure does know the quick way around King’s Lynn and could be a force to be reckoned with. National Points Champion Jacob Bromley (303) tops the list for the home drivers, the Trackstar Silver roof will be looking to add to add the title this evening and he has the pace to do so; he’s just dropped to second in the points charts aswell, as much as winning the title will be on his mind, regaining the top of the points won’t be forgotten about. Jake Banwell (391) joins us as the new National Champion, a title he went and won at Tullyroan in Northern Ireland. Other strong contenders to keep an eye on will be Carl Waterfield (600) who is having a good 2022 campaign so far here, he’s very quick around the King’s Lynn shale and one that could be near the front at the end. Ed Selby (244) goes well here too, as does Todd Payne (149), but could one of the visitors be an outside bet, despite their less-regular shale experience- it won’t let that stop them; Patrick Calderwood (18), Paul Brown (104), Joseph Giles (409) and Dave Matthews (503) amongst the red grade are the top picks of the visitors to watch. The race will be grid in an “Incarace draw” line up on track, first out and then draw a number out of the hat sends that many rows round to the back.

Outside of the title race, a number of drivers will be tackling the last chance race; this could be just as competitive as the main race, with just a few positions up for grabs; Sonny Wright (13), Darren Smith (83), Jack Wilkins (690) will be top tips from the yellow grade. Whilst Daniel Maltby (41) has pedalled to a race win lately and might just fancy the last chance to add to that, Riley Shinn (401) is very capable of making his way through, likewise for Chris Taylor (421).

Later on in the evening; Jamie Blackman (415) defends the Steve Newman Memorial, the 10th anniversary of this tragedy. A race so many would dearly love to win as it means so much to them, Blackman will be giving it his all to retain that special memorial trophy.

Lots of talking points, lots of cars, lots of action, it’s going to be good!.

A huge thank you to M.H Vehicle Diagnostics and Tuning who joins us as the sponsor for the 2022 1300 Stock Car Points title at King’s Lynn.  Thank you!

The 2L Saloons join us with most of the top drivers looking to be on track. Topping the line up is Timmy Barnes (131) the current holder of the gold roof, he is no slouch around King’s Lynn and expect him to be very much in the mix this evening. Michael Allard (349) should be a top tip for top honours this evening too, one to keep an eye on as holder of a huge number of titles within the sport! Welcome to Tommy Barnes (26), now the proud holder of the National Championship, good luck to him as he shows off that Gold stripe on his roof for the next 12months; he and his Barnes family counterparts do like to get stuck in!

Rowan Venni (370) certainly found his feet in 2021 and could certainly be one to watch this evening; similarly Richard Regan (319) who was a feature final winner here earlier this year. Wes Starmer (525) has been in good form all season so far and will be in the middle of the action tonight. Aaron Totham (561) has also been having a good 2022 season, his fortune seems him upto red, he might not see much impact by moving further back and could still well be in the mix at the end of the race. Ryan Santry (389) was your opening race winner last time 30th July and back again for more Saturday, running joke is he likes to win the opening race, so let’s see how well the goes Saturday. Deane Mayes (730) was a double race winner last meeting here and a strong contender for silverware again. Frank Little (10) makes a rare outing here all the way from Minehead base, as does Southamptons’ Jack Grandon (277) who’s been getting some good results on the tarmac. Trent Arthurton (610) also making a rare appearance, but from slightly closer to home. Two names to keep an eye on also; Jon Horne (119) the F1 Stock Car racer will be giving it his all, whilst National Banger star Callum Woods (396) has an outing swapping Bangers for Stock Cars. We’re looking forward to another great evening from the 2L Saloons.

The F2 Stock Cars racing in their final meeting ahead of the World Championship weekend 3rd September, over 40 of them currently booked here this evening. Whilst a number of top drivers may be skipping over to Holland for the World Cup, a strong line up stay behind to do battle on the King’s Lynn shale, searching out all important track time in their search for the gold. The likes of World Final pole position Charlie Guinchard (183) might be looking to capitalize on Gordon Moodie (7) heading to Venray; Guinchard is no slouch on shale and likely not need the practice, but he is a perfectionist and will want it dialled in for the 3rd September; Guinchard will have some stiff competition in the way though. The likes of Dave Polley (38) who sure is rapid around the Adrian Flux Arena, Polley parked It in third position in the Semi Final, therefore heading to a row 4 start and will be itching for that gold paint. . . do not discount on staking his claim Saturday night. Not forgetting Andrew Palmer (606) who starts alongside Polley and is certainly one of the drivers to push and challenge Polley on shale.

New World of Shale Champion Charley Tomblin (129), one of the quickest on shale and could be looking to cement his World of Shale crown with some good results, Tomblin also makes the World Final grid, he could be well placed if it kicks off up front! Reece Crane (149) is another that flies on the loose, he could be one to watch, as could Mikey Brennan (968) he certainly has shown in the past his shale form. Steven Burgoyne (674) makes the long distance South from his Scottish base in search of shale practice; good luck to him.

Kyle Taylor (136) will be looking to make up for his disappointing Semi Final results with some good finishes here this evening; likewise Jack Issitt (103). The shale specialists found the tarmac Semi final tough, but will now have the option of a qualifying spot in the Consolation Semi Final next month. A strong line up of lower graders perhaps looking to take advance of a number of the top drivers in Holland, they could make it difficult for the Stars and Superstars to progress this evening, keep an eye on Greg McKenzie (47), Luke Woodhull (344), Barry Clow (597) and Tom Pell (724).

Not one, not two, but three superb Stock Car formulas to keep you entertained this Saturday - do not miss it!
