The BriSCA F1 Stock Cars are back in town; off the back of a fantastic couple of meetings here, they are all out to impress with a strong field of cars battling it out for all important World Championship Qualifying Points; big, loud, proud and brutal racing from these V8 powered beasts. Also racing are the awesome F2 Stock Cars on the line up – the action comes thick and fast from these drivers and they are having a great season with huge grids of cars and brilliant racing. Rounding out the line up are the Modstox, racing for the first time at King's Lynn for a very long time, with an all new championship on the line - the English Championship. A great night of Stock Cars, not to be missed. As seen on Top Gear in 2022! Noise, colour, smell, friends, family and . . . awesome Short Oval Motorsport. It really has to be seen live to be believed. There are 49 F1 Stock Cars, 64 F2 Stock Cars and 28 Modstox booked in to race. The first Modstox race will be open track from 4.40pm.
It’s a night of non-stop Stock Car action Saturday.
The BriSCA F1 Stock Cars return to King’s Lynn following two fantastic meetings at the Adrian Flux Arena, and another unforgettable night of racing is in store. The 2026 season has already produced some great action and a wide variety of winners. Last time out in April, local favourite Callum Gill (457) claimed his first-ever Grand Final victory in front of a home crowd. That success helped secure his move into the coveted red grade, which will be no show tonight. Can he make it back-to-back King’s Lynn final victories? April’s meeting also continued the trend of different winners in every race, with Michael Allard (349), Craig Finnikin (55), Jake Harrhy (345), Gill, and Harry Clayton (399) all taking chequered flags during the evening, will they continue that winning streak.
Saturday's meeting is hugely important in the race for World Championship qualifying points. Current World Champion Tom Harris leads the standings and looks well placed to secure pole position for one of the Semi Finals, while Mat Newson (16), currently sits in second place. With the first Semi Final taking place here on Saturday 25th July, Saturday also offers drivers a valuable chance to fine-tune their shale setups; in fact the last chance to do so before that pivotal race.
One driver certain to attract attention is Dutch star Niels Tesselaar. Rather than qualifying through the Dutch system, Tesselaar has opted to race under a UK licence and chase qualification points the British way. He’ll no doubt be hoping for a shale Semi Final draw after impressing at Northampton a fortnight ago. Another driver enjoying a tremendous season is John Lund (53), who is celebrating his remarkable 50th anniversary year in the sport. The eight-time World Champion remains as competitive as ever and will surely be aiming for another strong performance should he book in. Frankie Wainman JNR (515) is also marking a milestone season, and although results here so far may not fully reflect his pace, FWJ will undoubtedly be pushing hard for more valuable qualifying points.
We also welcome back the F2 Stock Cars for their fourth visit of the season — a number that, in years gone by, would have represented almost a full campaign at King’s Lynn! The 2026 F2 season here has been nothing short of spectacular, with huge turnouts at every meeting. Last time out, an impressive 56 cars attended despite several drivers heading early to Holland for the King’s Battle event. The line up Saturday is expected to top the 60 mark once again.
The previous meeting delivered a superb night of racing. A Heat victory went to reigning Points Champion Charlie Guinchard (183), while local driver Marcus Gilbert (43) captured the Consolation event. The special King’s Lynn 60th Anniversary Final was won by Alex Butcher (271), ahead of Guinchard and Ben Chalkley (69), before shale specialist Billy Webster (226) rounded off the evening by taking the Grand National. All are back in action tonight — can they continue where they left off?
We also see the welcome return of the Modstox formula to King’s Lynn for the first time in well over a decade. These smaller Stock Cars race to the same principles and rules as the larger BriSCA F2 counterparts, close-contact entertainment throughout the evening. The drivers compete for the inaugural English Championship. An opening heat will allow crucial setup time before the English Championship itself as race 2, which will feature a randomly pre-drawn grid, followed by an Allcomers race to conclude their programme. We look forward to seeing the formula back in action here and wish all the drivers the very best of luck.
