Shootout Showdown on the King’s Lynn Shale!
BriSCA F1 Stock Car action returns to King’s Lynn on Saturday 22nd August for the penultimate visit of 2026 – and there’s plenty at stake as the battle for the Silver Roof begins!
The big, brutal V8-powered F1 Stock Cars take to the Norfolk shale for the opening round of the Shootout Points competition. It’s crunch time for the championship contenders, with most of the 16 qualifiers scheduled to be in action. Before racing gets underway, the all-important draw will decide the groups and reveal who goes head-to-head in the opening stage of the competition.
A star-studded line-up is expected, headed by World Champion Tom Harris (1), alongside Kyle Gray (124), winner of the Semi Final here at King’s Lynn, and BriSCA legend Frankie Wainman Jnr (515). European Champion Joe Booth (446) and Dutch star Niels Tesselaar (418) will also be looking to make an early impression, while tarmac superstar Ant Whorton-Eales (408) returns to the loose surface and will certainly be one to watch.
There’s plenty to look forward to throughout the grades too. The traditional Whites & Yellows race will kick-start the F1 action, with Chris Brocksopp (338) and Colin Goodswen (372) among those to keep an eye on. Shale specialists Austin Moore (127) and James Morris (463) will also be looking to make the most of their King’s Lynn experience as the bumpers start to fly.
Fantastic F2 Turnout
Joining the F1s are the BriSCA F2 Stock Cars, with another superb turnout of around 50 cars expected. The F2s have produced some of the finest racing of the 2026 shale season at King’s Lynn, with close, hard-fought action throughout the field – and another fiercely competitive night is anticipated.
Leading the charge is Silver Top Charlie Guinchard, who continues to set the standard in the formula. He’ll face plenty of opposition from established stars including former British Champion Greg McKenzie (47) and Billy Webster (226).
Local supporters will have plenty to cheer for too, with Rob Aldridge (233), Scott Aldridge (715) and Harry Skoyles (541) all in the line-up. Skoyles was a race winner here last time out, while the Aldridges know their way around the King’s Lynn shale and will be looking to challenge at the sharp end.
Two hard-hitting Stock Car formulas, a huge field of cars and the opening battle for the F1 Silver Roof – Saturday night at King’s Lynn promises to be an absolute cracker.
