Action is the attraction. . . it's Thrills and Spills Saturday this week. Please note the first race will be the Saloon Stock Cars will be on track at 4.40pm with the 25 and Under Championship of GB.
F2 Stock Cars return for their second meeting here this season, racing for World Of Shale Qualifying Points. Local top driver 43 Marcus Gilbert will be looking for some good results, whilst British Champion 47 Greg McKenzie will be hoping to keep the car on all four wheels this time. They will be joined by fellow Star grader 217 Sid Madgwick and quick shale specialists Brothers, 103 Jack Issitt and 113 Pat Issitt. Let’s not forget 414 Josh Rayner and 995 Michael Lund who on their day can be super quick on the loose stuff.
The Saloon Stock Cars are back this weekend with around 40 of them scheduled and they will race for the 25 and Under Championship of GB, a title originated and held at King's Lynn since 2011. 151 Levi List defends the crown this weekend, will he be able to make it two in a row? The likes of World and British Champion 720 Archie Brown and UK Champion 238 Alfie Aldous will be looking to take the title. They will have their work cut out with 178 Kieran Bowman running off of white grade, he will take some catching, that’s for sure. The Saloons will be racing for the World Championship later this year so track time is all important.
Also taking to the track are the Junior Bangers, and once again we have a great number of Juniors in action, over 30 Juniors take to the stage, and they have been quality to watch this season, with good numbers at every meeting. The likes of 609 Levi Murkin who won the points last year will look to stamp his authority on the formula before he bows out later in the season ready for his national banger debut. 8 Taylor Morton is another driver improving at the rate of knots along with 478 Morgan Bailey, both have hit red grades now and will look to hold those positions as the season develops. The racing was busy last time out with plenty of action on track, so we will certainly see how that goes for sure. Plenty of new young talent in that meeting, and it will be interesting to see how they progress with a meeting or two under their belts.
Small Vans – Ronan Coleman
Race Fans! You've seen the chaos, the destruction, and hilarious scenarios the Big Van Bangers bring to the track. Now, it's time for the Small Van Bangers to get the spotlight. For those unaware, the Small Van Bangers have been a part of Banger Racing for decades, and although it seems to be a formula that has faded away. Saturday at the Adrian Flux Arena, they rise like a phoenix from the ashes as they dawn on Kings Lynn for the first time in a decade. They may look small on the outside, but trust me, there is nothing small about the hits these vans can provide.
