Saturday see’s yet again a fantastic four formula domestic with plenty of action to enjoy. We start with the 1300 stock cars who have yet again had an incredible first half of 2025, and with 50 of them booked in again for Saturday it looks like we will be in for an absolute treat from those drivers yet again. Just this week we have had more drivers licence into the quickest growing formula at King’s Lynn, as more drivers are starting to like what they are seeing. It’s not easy to win a race round here in 1300’s anymore with plenty of cars on track in every race, and the competition absolutely fierce amongst all the drivers. No room for error now in this formula, and you consistently have to be at the top of your game if you want a positive result. If you look at the new grading periods there are one or two drivers that have surprisingly slipped down a grade, and they will be worth keeping an eye on tonight. Also before we get into the main action we have a mechanics race which will certainly be worth a watch, as we get the opportunity to see drivers you wouldn’t normally expect to see behind the wheel nowadays have a race around and also hopefully raise plenty of money for a good cause along the way. It’s interesting at the top in the 1300 points, in the national points it’s 303 Jacob Bromley who leads the way, after a quality 2024 he is certainly carrying on in the right form to mount a serious challenge on all fronts once again, however a man who is starting to gather momentum and will look to grab his hands on some more honours this year is 167 Jimmy Morris, currently sitting second in the national points, but leading the world of shale qualifying Jimmy will certainly be a man on a mission throughout the rest of this campaign that’s for sure, Jimmy is a good old fashioned stock car driver who will go in with the same attitude whether he’s battling for the win or whether it’s for tenth place, between him and Jacob it could be interesting to see who comes out on top. Ben Sanders could be another driver to keep an eye on, running mate of Jimmy’s and starting to work his way into things now, and sits fourth in the points. The 1300’s will definitely be worth watching tonight, as we go to press we plan to run a full format for the formula which will mean the final will certainly be a hard fought battle as the drivers scrap to bag themselves a spot. We would also like to add a massive well done to Tracy Scott for organising the mechanics race, and hopefully the drivers have raised plenty of money for charity.
Junior Bangers are also back in action with us on Saturday, and points leader 609 Levi Murkin who is miles clear at the top of the points heads into his last Junior Banger meeting before turning 16 and going into the National Bangers, it still wouldn’t surprise me if he finishes in the top three of the points considering how big a lead he has in the points. All of us at Trackstar would like to wish Levi the best moving forward, and I’m sure we will see him in the national bangers here for years to come, he will go and join his brother Lenny now, and I’m sure the talented duo will go on to do good things in the national bangers. Currently sitting second in the points at the moment and rising through the grades like a rocket is 57 Swalley Douglas, Swalley only making his debut this year has been a hard youngster to catch for our higher graded drivers, however he himself becomes a hunter rather than the hunted and that can certainly pose a different kettle of fish, but I’m sure he will lean on his brother 556 Lincoln for a bit of experience of how to handle starting further back. It’s very close in behind with 442 Stanley Crittenden, 8 Taylor Morton 629 Jenson Tomlinson all looking to pick up good points and cement themselves a spot in the top five, however they will certainly need to get a move on if they want to get hold of the leading 609 Levi Murkin in the points. Some great little drivers coming through the grades again this year, with the likes of 730 Leo Mayes leading the charge with some very good results a couple of weeks back. Always good to have some visitors as well with 13 Beau Jeanes doing well in the points despite being a visitor, and we also welcome back 10 Jake Watson after his track debut two weeks ago, and 618 Stanley Gill also will be an interesting watch from his Superstar grade.
The Micro Bangers are back in action as well and just under thirty of them take centre stage. 428 Nick Ashbridge is currently having a very good season so far, qualifying for the 2 Litre World Championship and sitting third in the national banger entertainer league, Nick will lead the charge in the micros knowing the a good performance could lift him past second place in the entertainer league by the end of the night. First placed driver 51 James Licquorice is also out there in action, and he is looking very likely in being able to defend his entertainer league crown, James is currently just over 400 points in front of second place which is 39 Ryan Knibbs, and all of the three mentioned drivers are having cracking seasons and can be very proud of their achievements so far. More on the action front can come in the form of the ongoing battle of 167 Dylan Ling and running mate 335 Lee White taking on 28 Mac Bell and 830 Lee White, all four of those lads have been great too watch so far this season, and always add that little something extra when it comes to our micro banger meetings. 330 Jackson and 331 Mackenzie Whitehead will be looking to get some good results, 331 Macca the 25 and Under Great Brtitish Champion will look to claim the Micro UK Championship, but he will certainly have a good fight on his hands in the shape of defending champion 869 Jamie Steele who is definitely one of the quickest micro banger drivers out there. 190 Ben Germany is another who goes well round here along with 93 Lewis Godfrey and I’d expect them to pick up some positive results. All in all I’m sure the micros will certainly add plenty to what is already a good nights racing with the likes of 440 Lennon Phillips add plenty of quality to the field.
Our fourth formula is the Lady Bangers and once again we have a strong sixteen of them going into battle, and it’s great to see some new drivers out in action with the likes of 910 Kacey Church joining us for the night and to have a go on the shale, we’ll look forward to seeing how she gets on, I’m sure other half 440 Lennon is going to be able to help her understand what to expect. 150 Katelyn Parrin has started the unlimited lady season well, and will look to keep going on her hunt for more points. Former Gold Roof Champion 3 Danielle Ellis is one of the more experienced drivers and looking likely to be a driver who will be on the charge for points again tonight. 232 Samantha While has gone away from the trusty Previa’s, but she certainly knows how to pilot her Omega’s round the Norfolk arena, and she has had some very quick races with the likes of 28 Chloe Bricknell. 110 Lightfoot and 626 Kayleigh Sanders will look to score well with confidence booming for that pair at the moment. It’s great to have 298 Bryoni Chapman back out, she had a good win round here last time she was with us, 488 Codie Reeves will be Mk2 powered, and she can certainly get a car round here, 473 Zoe Nicholls and 841 Sharon Jennings will also be drivers too watch out for, and neither are strangers to getting positive results round here. 696 Shelby Allen will be yank powered, and 988 Holly Mott will look to bounce back from last time out, 100 Emma Mullins will need a fresh car after last time out whilst we welcome to newcomers in 27 Gemma Bricknell and 8 Brooke Morton, Brooke will be turning 18 on Thursday so there is definitely no better present than to get out on the shale a couple of days later at King’s Lynn, all of us here at Trackstar wish Brooke a happy birthday for Thursday and look forward to her debut with us on Saturday.
This should once again be a very solid domestic meeting, they normally do produce some of the best racing of the year, so come on down to King’s Lynn on Saturday night and have a watch of what should be a very entertaining meeting.
All The Best
