Stock Car fans, strap in for one of the most anticipated events of the summer! This Saturday, the Adrian Flux Arena becomes the battleground for the Dave Leonard Memorial Meeting, celebrating the life and legacy of a true racing stalwart. With a jaw-dropping lineup of top-tier talent, fans can expect world-class action and a few surprises on the shale!
Over 50 F1 Stock Cars are ready to do battle with International challengers, fresh champions, and returning favourites. Loud, Proud, and Brutal; the titans of the oval return with full force! As top drivers prepare for their September World Championship Final, this event offers a crucial opportunity to fine-tune machines and tactics. Expect bone-rattling battles and full-tilt drama as the F1s take to the track in memory of Dave Leonard, a passionate lifelong fan whose name will be honoured in the prestigious memorial race. 1 Tom Harris, reigning World Champion and always a favourite at King’s Lynn, he’s won the Memorial trophy the last two times and will be all out for a third. Eyes will definitely be on 97 Ryan Harrison, returning to racing after a year. How will time away affect the former multi-champion, the answer is probably more fired up than ever! 515 Frankie Wainman Jnr is back, he was a race winner last time here in May; this season he’s fast and on a mission; watch out for the bumper to fly! H152 Gert Jan Klok will be bringing Dutch flair to British soil and no doubt looking for track time ahead of the World Championship. We will be welcoming 259 Paul Hines, freshly crowned British Champion and a feature interview in this week’s meeting programme. Also keep an eye on 587 Samuel Brigg; he was a race winner at the last outing here, gunning for more glory and definitely one to watch, can 554 Sierd de Vries follow up on his double-victory last time here, he will be trying that’s for sure.
Also a huge thank you to Stephen Lawson of SL Rally Tyres for his generous contribution of a number of tyres also up for grabs in the F1 Stock Car White and Yellow race.
Saloon Stock Cars join us – No Mercy, No Compromise With the August World Final looming, this is the last chance to lay down rubber at King's Lynn—and every driver knows it. The cars will be dialled in and the gloves will be off. Rubbing is racing, and there’ll be no shortage of both. The fence will rattle, the metal will clatter. UK Champion 238 Alfie Aldous will join us and the Youngster is certainly no stranger to getting the chequered flag, he will be looking to stake his claim before the Gold Roof showdown. Irish Champion 747 Matt Stirling makes the trip over the water to join us, no doubt looking for some track time ahead of the big race, we’ll be watching his progress that’s for sure. 131 Timmy Barnes throws his hat in to the ring and will be looking to battle to the front, he’s done the most winning at King’s Lynn this year and likely to be taking the flag again Saturday. 120 Luke Dorling currently leads the King’s Lynn track championship and showing he’s the form to watch come August. 151 Levi List knows how to get stuck in and back for more this weekend, he will be hoping to keep it on all four wheels though this time. 156 Darren Goudy was on the podium in the meeting final last time, he’s back up to Red grade for this one, but certainly showing good form currently, as is 525 Wes Starmer a race winner here a few weeks ago. 341 Austen Freestone and 570 Simon Venni also ones to keep an eye on, throw in 178 Kieran Bowman, 214 Tom Yould and 370 Rowan Venni there’s strong competition lining up for this one.
The Ministox round out the line up, small in Size, Big on Determination Don’t let their size fool you. These young warriors bring all-out intensity, and with the Gold Roof Showdown just around the corner, this final meeting at King's Lynn is make or break. The second visit of the season and last one before the big one, the National Championship on August 30th. This is the 7th shale meeting of the season for the class and the drivers that have been consistent on the loose stuff and winning the finals are: 496 Tom Holcroft x2, 183 Mason Whittle x2, 174 Finley Kew, 105 Danny Bonner; they will be ones to watch out for. 22 Drivers are booked in and will be using the meeting to try different ideas, set ups and therefore hoping they can get some advantage for their pending Championship. They'll be battling like champions.
We hope to see you there, but if not...
