Buckle up for one of the wildest Mondays on the motorsport calendar! This August Bank Holiday, King’s Lynn roars to life with the Big Van Bangers Charity Special, a full-throttle spectacle where metal meets mayhem for a good cause. Add to that the Saloon Stock Car Bumper Trophy, promising door-to-door drama and bumper-bending brilliance, plus the utterly bonkers Reliant Robin World of Shale—where three-wheelers defy physics and dignity alike. It’s loud, it’s chaotic, it’s unmissable. There are 35 Big Van Bangers, 20 Reliant Robins and 27 Saloon Stock Cars booked in to race, first action on track from 1pm.
Van Bangers are the most popular type of events we run as these big machines provide plenty of thrills and spills in what is the ultimate revenge of White Van Man! These colossal machines aren’t built for speed—they’re built for carnage. With drivers pushing their lumbering beasts to the limit, every lap is a battle for survival and spectacle before the day ending with the biggest Destruction Derby of the year when the Big Vans take to the track to see who can win the event as the last Van moving after destroying the rest of the field!!
Reliant Robins Racing - The Reliant Robin might not scream motorsport pedigree, but its three-wheeled antics have earned it a cult following in the world of unconventional racing. Getting a four wheeled car around an oval track in the chaos of one of our races is difficult - imagine how difficult it is balancing it in a 3 wheeled Reliant Robin. It is not easy and some drivers spend more time on their roof than on their wheels - You can just see Del Boy - "You plonkers!" racing for the coveted World of Shale Championship.
Racing also comes from the Saloon Stock Cars. Get ready for an afternoon of thunderous action as the Saloon Stock Cars roar back into King’s Lynn! These steel-armoured beasts are built for battle, and when the green flag drops, it’s all-out war on wheels. the fence will rattle, metal will clatter from one of the Sports toughest and most brutal Formulas; racing for the acclaimed and sought after Bumper Trophy. They are fresh off of their World Championship final here a few weeks ago- is it a case of World Final revenge, keep an eye on new champion 389 Ryan Santry will be showing off the gold roof today.
It promises to be an action packed evening of non stop family entertainment, so, grab your refreshments, sit back and get comfortable, make sure to cheer on your favourite racers. Whether they’re fighting for victory or battling to stay in the race, every driver out there appreciates your support.
Monday has extra importance as we raise money for The Big C – Cancer support charity based here in Norfolk – we hope to raise as much money for them as possible. Every pound raised for The Big C helps bring hope, comfort, and life-changing support to those facing cancer across Norfolk and Waveney. Whether it’s funding vital research, enhancing treatment centres, or simply offering a warm cup of tea and a listening ear, your donation makes a real difference. Let’s rally together, rev up the generosity, and help The Big C continue to be a lifeline when it’s needed most. Check out https://www.big-c.co.uk/ for more information or visit the Just Giving donation page to donate to today’s fundraising. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated. https://www.justgiving.com/page/trackstar2025crashforcancer
