The year rapidly draws to a close and we finish with our annual Christmas Holiday meeting - what a cracker of an event it will be – Micro Bangers Teams of 3; small cars but big on action, the superb BriSCA F2 Stock Cars, the fence rattling, metal clanging Saloon Stock Cars and the always entertaining Junior Bangers; these kids don't hold back. King’s Lynn is the place to be – Sunday 28th December @ 1pm. There are 68 Micro Bangers (25 Teams), 31 F2 Stock Cars, 28 Saloon Stock Cars and 32 Junior Bangers booked to race; fully booked to competitors!
Sunday 28th December see’s us return to action with the much anticipated return of the annual Micro Banger teams of 3 event. This is a meeting that normally provides us with plenty of entertainment and seems to be a chance for the drivers to let their hair down and have plenty of fun. As we write this there are 2 teams going into battle and that should produce a really good turnout of around 60 cars to take to the track. With both the overall points and entertainers league up for grabs, we really should be in for a cracking afternoon of action. Plenty of teams will feel that they’re in for a chance of success regarding both leagues, and we will attempt to try and give you a good guide and idea of who to look out for at this team meeting. Team Murkin will start amongst the favourites for both titles, and with the way 608 Lenny, 609 Levi and 644 Alfie have handled themselves this season, they look sure to hold a strong hand in both categories. The three lads have been hard hitting all season, even though Levi only joined the fray midway through the 2025 campaign once turning 16. They will very much be a team to follow, and not too many will want to cross paths with them, this is a very strong unit who will definitely be able to keep cars going and be able to get turned round to keep getting back out for action. I certainly wouldn’t right them off of either titles, and I wouldn’t put it past them to win both. Team Mates are a side who love this event, and no doubt will come into this with a big chance of doing well. However as we write this there is only 28 Mac and 830 Stretch in the team, and they could have their hands full with Team Dacey and Team Dosser. Either way they will almost definitely be a great watch, and again will have designs on claiming a top three position when it comes to the final standings in both leagues. Their constant running battles with Team Dacey 66 Norley, 521 Dace and 666 Dobson, and Team Dosser 167 Ling, 335 Bulldog and 799 Dack will absolutely be worth keeping an eye on, and for 335 White it maybe his perfect opportunity to finally get the upper hand in a battle that sometimes he has been outnumbered in. THP7 are another side who will start as one of the pre meeting favourites with a strong trio of drivers. 30 Bubba, 248 Blything and 730 Deano will go into battle for a team that has been at the forefront of team meetings over recent times. Bubba rarely goes a meeting without taking a win, and is normally a banker for taking an early heat for his side, and when you put the other two drivers in the mix with him it really is a recipe for success!! 248 Blything is one of the best young drivers in the sport at the moment, and he has come close on several occasions to taking major titles here at the Adrian Flux Arena, and his growing stock has seen him be asked by several high profile teams to guest for them at meetings around East Anglia. Deano has certainly done well here in recruiting the impressive Blything and you’d have to say when you throw the former Saloon World Champion into the mix that this team has all the credentials to grab the winners title, so only time will tell if anybody else seems them as the major threat that they clearly are on paper. A team that could spring a surprise is The Export Crew, with 441 Lee Horwood leading the line, he had a good return at the Micro UK Final night, and he is joined by young hot shot 556 Lincoln Douglas who makes his debut in the national bangers, but he wasn’t a driver who was fazed by a lively race in the juniors, so I very much doubt that he will have too much to worry himself about in this meeting. It’s great to see so many young drivers come of age and start to come through the ranks here, and Lincoln is one of a few who have come out of Junior Bangers this year that have made the leap into national bangers for this meeting, and he’ll be at home in a micra, and I expect him to score well for his side. The third member of the team is 57 Callam Brookland, who hasn’t got a long list of meetings to his name, but will almost definitely be geared up by the team for this, and could surprise a few. Team Bash will hold a strong hand again with 673 Darren Fendley, 155 Sam Coote, 678 Beak surely having every chance of doing very well in this team meeting. They are a side that always do well in the Micro team meetings here, and they will be another side to throw their hats into the ring. They are a set of drivers who can avoid the trouble here, and often score well early on to give themselves every chance when it comes to the final a little later on in the day, they are definitely a side that you can’t write off.
When it comes to crashing you’d have to say the obvious contenders are The Dover Boys with 51 “The Duck” leading a strong side into battle, the current entertainer league champion is joined by the current national points champion in 69 Brado and 372 Jimmy Cable. This is a very strong unit and a side who can definitely turn it on when needed, all three do enjoy a good crash and they have all been shining lights on the entertainment front throughout the 2025 campaign, with 51 James going to secure his second entertainer league title in a row, Brad having again proving why he is the national points champion week in week out, and 372 James being one of the breakout stars of the 2025 campaign!! This side needs keeping an eye on throughout the day. The Gladiators are led into battle by 107 Taylor Pratchett, and at the time of writing we don’t currently have the remaining team members, he will almost definitely be leading a strong side into battle. Team Beaver will be another side to keep an eye on, and could be dark horses when it comes to it, with 41 Beaver leading the line and very capable crashers 288 Chris Ford and 412 Lacey joining him, again they are a side too watch. TPG will have a big claim, and it’s a father and son trio with dad 132 Bobbles leading sons 232 Levi and 432 Lucas into carnage, and with those three together it could really be an exciting watch. Bobbles is back on the charge and with his two lads now turning sixteen they will be great to have out there. TYB are a side made up of top youngsters 70 Manson, 272 Riley and 699 Cartwright all coming through the Junior Banger scene here this year, and they really could go under the radar here. All three will know how to get round here, and all three will know how to battle their way through packed grids, and this will definitely stand all three in good stead for a solid 2026 campaign. Team Dacey lead by 521 Lee Dace will be all about the entertainment, and have added so much to our domestic scene in recent seasons. Expect Team Dosser to have a good say on the entertainment front led by 335 Lee White. It will also be great the have Team Bilge back led by 18 Glenn Brooks.
Green and Black could be a side to keep an eye on in the points with 699 Aaron Nelson leading 330 Jackson Whitehead and 599 Matty Butcher into the heart of the battle, and these three will fancy their chances. Matt’s Mafia will be lead by 93 Lewis Godfrey who has been very competitive in this current campaign. The Outsiders will be an interesting watch with 03 Will Blackett leading his side into this with the returning 41 Louis Fidment and 359 Danny Smith. Blackett was brilliant at the Micro UK Final, and 41 Fidment a driver who is always full of entertainment despite not having been seen here for a couple of years. Team Stu-Pid go into this with two sides, and two decent sides at that! The A team will be interesting and could be ones who put on a show with 132 Thorpedo, 313 Woodzy and 350 Parrin joining forces, and the B team featuring the captain who may have a race around in 511 Jack, and joining him is 428 Nick Ashbridge who is currently riding high in the entertainer league, and the returning 622 Stu. 512 Matt Armstrong returns to his roots in the micro bangers, and joins forces with 286 Kain Smee and the very impressive 572 Squirt, who never fails to put on a show when he is here. Team Clowns will be captained by 245 Stephen Lown who always does well when he appears in the micro bangers here. The Unwin Clan also return with two teams, and 71 James, 710 Sean, 711 Lewis will be joined by 70 Unwin, 209 Barty and 275 Phil as they look set to have a good day, and 260 Ricky Hodson is joined by 234 Alfie and 724 Trev to complete the line up.
In the F2 Stock Cars a strong line up joins us for an out of season blast on the shale, including former World Champion 560 Luke Wrench and European Champion 414 Joshua Rayner; Young Guns 155 Archie Grindey, 926 Joshua Wilson and Superstar 213 Tom Bennett will lead the charge. Star of the future 271 Alex Butcher looks to have his sights on the Track Championship and will be hoping to wrap that accolade on the 28th. 147 Aidan Derry, 223 Toby Partridge and 925 Jake Wilson will also be looking to finish the year on a high. The class race for the Whites and Yellows Finale too; a race which should be well subscribed of drivers; they will line up in points order within grades based on their performances at King’s Lynn this season; it’s sure to be a fierce competition.
The Saloon Stock Cars also join us for their Season finale here; a great year for the class here following their Gold Roof competition in August; won by 389 Ryan Santry; he looks set to join us for a festive shake down and will be one of the favourites; he will be battling British Champion 120 Luke Dorling who currently leads the way in the track championship; just one point separates them in that chase; with 525 Wes Starmer not too far behind ready to snatch the bragging rights. Veteran campaigner 156 Darren Goudy will be with us as will former 1300 Stock Car World Champion 638 Darren Rae. Some strong talent will be on track in the front half of the grid which will be an interesting watch for sure; keep an eye on 178 Kieran Bowman, 238 Alfie Aldous and 370 Rowan Venni; all of who can be very quick around King’s Lynn. Not to mention 13 drivers lining up in the White Grade with some newcomers taking to the track; it will make for good viewing that’s for sure!
Rounding out the line up are the Juniors are back for the last outing of the year; they have been superb in this current campaign and we have just over 30 cars booked in for the last one of the season. 08 Taylor Morton looks set to grab the silver roof this year, he has been in top form throughout the current campaign, and it’s always good to see a driver go from strength to strength, and Taylor is a driver who has done just that, however he will have his work cut out for this meeting. It’s great to see so many youngsters work their way through the ranks; keep an eye on 210 Charlie Goose, 517 Rylee Taylor and 730 Leo Mayes who will be certainly be up there or thereabouts at the chequered flag.
All in all this could and should really be a great afternoon of entertainment here at King’s Lynn.
