Saturday 13th June @5pm meeting preview

Coming up at King’s Lynn . . . 2L Bangers War of the Worlds Teams, crunching metal and chaos reigns in this class. The fast and furious action packed 1600cc Bangers also racing in East Anglian teams competition. Stock Car racing comes in the form of the 1400 Stock Cars, they have been fantastic entertainment at King's Lynn this year. Plus the always entertaining Lady Unlimited Bangers. Lots to look forward to, there's nothing domestic about this! There are 36 2Ltr Bangers (11 teams), 39 1600cc Bangers (10 teams), 46 1400cc Stock Cars and 21 Unlimited Lady Bangers booked in to race. First race on track 5pm.

The ultimate showdown roars into King's Lynn as over 130 machines prepare to tear up the track. With the pits jammed and adrenaline boiling, this is more than just racing—it’s a battleground of steel and fury. Non-stop Banger and Stock Car action. Cars crashing, spinning, and flying in every direction. Atmosphere electric, crowd on edge, and not a single moment of calm.

2L Bangers can be some of the hardest and most brutal racing on the tracks; they’re battling for the War of the Worlds this weekend; Double figures teams and around mid-30’s entry should see some good action Saturday night. Three teams of Scrapyard Screamers are very likely to feature well with a good mix of drivers in the sides will likely see some good racing and wrecking; 296 Tom Jennings; The Cullums 132 Archie and 133 Malakie; plus 214 Shane and 314 Luke Rawlins are amongst the strong line up of Black cars with red roofs.

248 Jamie Blything lines up on his own at the time of writing and whilst might be lone rider; he will put up a good fight and be in amongst the results. Similarly Team Mates; who might be down on numbers; but 28 Mac Bell and 830 Lee White are no slouch- the 28 machine victorious here two weeks ago in the Micro Banger final. Team Yesss Geez!! are another outfit likely to feature well with 50 Recce Laybourn and 552 Karl Douglas in their ranks; similarly The Suffolk Boys – keep an eye on 26 Daniel Holmes and 370 John Cobbold.  It should be a strong showing from the 2L Bangers as they get close to their World Final event in August – let’s get ready to crumple!

The 1600cc East Anglian Teams looks set to be a cracker on Saturday night with double figure teams going into battle to see who comes out as the 1600cc Banger East Anglian Team Championship.  730 Deano Mayes leads THP7 into battle this weekend with two stella line ups, 12 Troy Cobbett, 30 Brandon Mayes, 248 Jamie Blything and 730 Deano will start as one of the meeting favourites, however the other team is just as strong with 69 Brad Bartram, 275 Joel Bond, 349 Daniel Copland and 379 Brandon Kevern in with a good chance of challenging for either title.  Matt’s Mafia even though currently just a sole driver in 556 Lincoln Douglas could be a strong challenging for the points on his own – he took two wins last time here in the Micro Bangers.

Team Zippy will certainly be quick with captain, the rapid, 566 Tony Pallett leading the charge; and two drivers who enjoy mixing it up in 19 Reggie Turnbull, 556 Matt Tillow and 624 Cameron Hubbard alongside and all ultra quick; they look set for a strong showing.  Team DFA are very good contenders on both fronts.  The lively Giddings brothers who can be ruthless on their day, can also be very quick, and joined by the entertaining 644 Alfie Sime and 750 Rhys Parrin; this could be a team to watch across both leagues. Local favourites The Predators will also ones to keep an eye on; 79 Ricky Twell and 479 Joel Allen could be looking to mix things up in the entertainers, whilst 181 Craig Allen and 196 Eddie Farrow might look to hunt down the points. Blue and Black are another that could send some to wreck and race; keep an eye on 551 Brett Jackson who leads the National Points here; he is certainly in good form. The same can be said for the Junkyard Dogs – 337 Ashley Garrod is no strange to picking up good results here and could by the one to hunt points; whilst 51 James Licquorice is well known for his entertaining style- but can also race when he needs to! The 1600 Bangers are fast, they’re furious – hold on to your hats!

The 1400 Stock Cars continue to prove why they are regarded as one of the premier formulas in short oval racing. Another huge turnout is expected this Saturday, with just under 50 cars booked in and anticipation building ahead of the World Championship at King’s Lynn later this summer. The Norfolk venue is set to stage yet another thrilling meeting for the formula. Current points champion Jacob Bromley (303) heads the field sporting the Silver roof as he defends the points title. One driver certain to challenge him will be Jimmy Morris (167), who claimed victory in the Allcomers at the last meeting.

A recent regrading see’s the class form book put on pause slightly; 368 Charlie Santry has been in good form from the yellow grade; he’s down rewarded with a red roof following that success; a double race winner last time out; can he keep that form going on Saturday? Veteran campaigner 673 John Moat also get’s back to red; he will be no slouch off the back. 70 Manson Arnold and 512 Shannon Barnett are recent first time winners and now join the yellow grade ranks – good luck to them. 671 Leo Moore had a big rollover last time out whilst battling for position; he will be hoping not to repeat this week and keep it on all four wheels. Another fantastic outing coming up for this class; the fence will rattle and the metal will clatter; with the Gold roof race looming in August, drivers will be eager to make another major statement and strengthen his credentials ahead of the big one.

The Unlimited Lady’s spring back into action, with defending Gold Roof Champion 150 Katelyn Parrin setting the standard, and she has become a quality driver, and a force to be reckoned with in the ladies, and she will have a good chance of grabbing the gold once again this season.  142 Adelle Walmsley had a good night last time; she currently leads all three points charts for the class – two second places last meeting to her credit. 406 Lilly Parker is a newbie to the formula but has had decent results elsewhere prior and will be one to keep an eye on. 110 Stacey Lighfoot has been in good form for the last couple of seasons, and no doubt will have another good run this time; she is no stranger to results here.  419 Laura Quadling has been unlucky so far not to win major honours in this formula, and no doubt her time will come very soon indeed; she regularly mixes it with the guys in National Bangers.  All in all we have just over twenty ladies ready to do battle come Saturday, and they have become a cracking formula to watch over the last couple of seasons – here come the girls!

No polite overtakes. Just full-throttle clashing metal; King’s Lynn is the place to be on Saturday. Get yourself your tickets online - they're cheaper than on the day and we look forward to seeing you trackside; cars on track for 5pm.
