The mid-week Summer Shale sessions return to King’s Lynn with another night of Banger and Stock Car action, and this time the stakes are even higher!
Wednesday 12th August – Mid-Week Mayhem sees the always entertaining 1400 Stock Cars share the track with the big, brutal and unpredictable Unlimited Bangers, with a coveted World of Shale Wild Card place up for grabs.
The 1400 Stock Cars continue to cement their reputation as one of the UK's premier short-oval formulas, and with around 50 cars expected, the competition is set to be fierce. With the 1400 Stock Car World Championship taking place at King’s Lynn just three days later, this is the final opportunity for many drivers to fine-tune their setups, build confidence and stake their claim for the coveted Gold Roof.
Every visit from the 1400s produces close and competitive racing throughout the field, with drivers battling hard for every position right through to the closing laps. Expect plenty of bumper-to-bumper action as some of the sport's biggest names go head-to-head around the King’s Lynn shale.
Then it’s time for the Unlimited Bangers – World of Shale Wild Card!
The biggest cars, the biggest hits and some of the biggest names in Banger racing will descend n King’s Lynn, all chasing that precious route into September’s World of Shale Championship.
The Meeting Final winner will secure a seeded place in the World of Shale Championship, while the best Entertainer of the night will also earn their place on the grid. With a strong field expected, there’s everything to play for – and you simply never know what machinery might roll through the gates!
Big hits and even bigger wrecks. No polite overtakes. No holding back. Just full-throttle Banger racing mayhem!

The box office will be open for on the day ticket sales; but advance tickets are highly recommended and cheaper than on the day - plus kids 11 and under go free when booked online. The pit gate will open for competitors at 4.30pm, the pit gate is for competitors only, there is no pedestrian access at this gate. The gates for ticket holders will open at 5.30pm. If purchased advance tickets, please have your e-ticket confirmation ready, either on your phone or printed.
We operate a wristband system in and around the Stadium; you will be given a wristband on entry.
The arena has great viewing all around (plenty of under cover viewing too!), Free parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, food outlets and other great facilities.
A small amount of food and drink ( equivalent to a meal deal, Sandwich, 500ml bottle of drink & snack) can be brought with you into the stadium; Bottles bigger than 500ml, alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. No soft cool bags, iceboxes, picnic boxes or picnic trolleys. Thank you.
We are dog friendly, we just politely ask they are kept on a lead and any mess is cleared up, please. In hot weather we would advise against brining your dog with you; please also be advised the event can be quite loud with, pops and bangs from engines etc; so please bare that in mind if your dog is noise sensitive.
Parking notice
Following to complaints to the local authorities; we would like to advise Customers to not park on the main road outside the Stadium on race days; this is causing issues with traffic and resulting in a number of issues locally.
There is an onsite car park and the overflow parking field should also be available each meeting. Car parking at King’s Lynn is provided free of charge, please do use this.
We would also to like ask everyone to be considerate of our neighbouring Industrial area and to park respectfully if using that space.
