Coming up this weekend, it’s two action-packed days featuring the spectacular BriSCA F1 and F2 Stock Cars. Whether you're a lifelong supporter or experiencing Stock Car racing for the very first time, you're in for an unforgettable weekend.
This weekend has attracted a superb entry, with leading drivers from across the United Kingdom joined by local favourites and a strong contingent of competitors travelling from the Netherlands. The stage is set for an exceptional weekend of shale racing.
The centrepiece of the Saturday is the BriSCA F1 Stock Car World Championship Semi Final. Twenty-four drivers will line up on the grid, but only the top ten will secure their place in September's World Championship Final at Northampton. With so much at stake, every lap and every position will matter.
The front rows feature plenty of proven talent. Local favourite Mat Newson (16) lines up alongside multiple World Champion Frankie Wainman Jnr (515), with both expected to challenge strongly despite mixed fortunes this season. Behind them, experienced campaigners Kyle Gray (124), Danny Wainman (212), Dave Polley (138) and former British Champion Finn Sargent (526) all have the pace and experience to secure qualification. Local champion Callum Gill (457) has strong shale credentials, with him already boasting a race win and second place at King's Lynn this year too. Eight-time World Champion John Lund (53) will also attract huge support as he looks to qualify, while Dutch ace Nigel de Kock (525) has already shown impressive pace at Saddlebow Road this season.
The F1 Stock Cars will also then contest the prestigious Dave Leonard Memorial Final. Dave was one of the most respected and well-loved figures within the Stock Car community, and his loss continues to be felt throughout the sport. Winning this race carries tremendous significance, and every driver will want to add their name to the trophy. Thanks to the outstanding fundraising efforts of Lee Lawrence, additional prize money has once again been added to the event, ensuring the race remains a fitting tribute to Dave's memory. We are proud and honoured to stage this memorial race.
Alongside them, the BriSCA F2 Stock Cars arrive in tremendous numbers, with more than 60 cars scheduled to compete across the weekend. Saturday provides the perfect opportunity to build momentum, but don't expect anyone to take it easy—this formula has enjoyed one of its strongest shale seasons in recent years and consistently delivers close, competitive racing throughout the field. On Sunday, the intensity rises even further as drivers compete for valuable World of Shale Championship qualifying points. Headed by two of the sport's biggest stars, Gold Top Gordon Moodie (7) and Silver Top Charlie Guinchard. While both are among the elite, Guinchard has been the standout performer of 2026 and arrives as the driver everyone will be aiming to beat.
The red grade is packed with talent, including Greg McKenzie (47), Billy Webster (226), Andrew Palmer (606) and newly crowned British Champion Harley Burns (992). Further down the grades, previous King's Lynn final winner Scott Aldridge (715), plus Michael Lund (995), Charlie England, Marcus Gilbert (43) and Tom Earl (77) are all capable of challenging for race victories.
Scotland's Paul Ford (288) makes another long trip south and will be looking to continue his climb back towards the star grade, while Dutch visitors Michael Schutter (H129) and Janmaarten Vermaning (H397) add an international flavour to the field as they make the journey to King's Lynn.
