Halloween Carnival Night - THANK YOU
Well there’s no one more disappointed and disheartened in last night than us; with significant online and offline advertising, a big booking list; we were hoping for the biggest and best Halloween Carnival night; but the weather well and truly beat us. Rain was forecast, but not to that extend otherwise a decision to rearrange could have been made had we known just how much there was going to be.
We’re truly disappointed in having to cancel some of the races (thanks go to drivers and race teams for doing what they did to allow us to put on what races we had), of course the Fancy dress parade too and we know some children (adults too) were upset that this couldn’t take place ☹ - the goody bags were still given out and we hope that they were enjoyed.
We know there was some significant distances travelled to be with us (A race team from Exeter the furthest we believe), but whether you travelled 5 hours or 5 minutes, we really, really, appreciate everyone who came to brave the weather/ conditions – all the drivers and teams having to work on the cars or race in the conditions and all the staff and spectators who were stood in the cold rain. THANK YOU for coming; we really appreciate you coming to be with us.
The Fireworks were fantastic, weren’t they? A massive round of applause to White Lightening Pyrotechnics for producing a phenomenal display, particularly in that weather.
