Introduction
It’s Bangers all the way at the Adrian Flux Arena, King’s Lynn, on Saturday night (7 July, 5:30pm) as 1500cc National Bangers contest a National Championship qualifying round, ably supported by Micro Bangers in a UK qualifying round and Junior Bangers.
There are currently 58 Micro Bangers, 27 1500cc Bangers and 27 Junior Bangers booked in to race
Any driver who turns up unbooked will not receive any complimentary admissions which they may be entitled to. If you are not listed below and would like to race please text 07939 580652 to be added to the reserve list. If you are booked in and no longer able to race please let us know so we can give your booking to someone else.

1500cc Bangers
Defending National Champion 830 Lee White is currently second in the National Championship qualifying, and will be aiming to make up some ground on his good friend and rival 175 Karl Corsby. White won the opening qualifier back in March and also led his Team Mates outfit to a dominant success in the East Anglian Team Championship last month so remains the man to beat.
Leading the charge is another Team Mates regular, 566 Tony Pallett, the 2016 champion who should be at the wheel of one his favourite Vauxhall Astras. The 1500 specialist lies fourth in National Championship qualifying, so looks a strong bet for making the grid at December’s big race.
A third member of the triumphant Team Mates squad, 319 Shaun Clarke, will also be in action. Clarke often focuses more on the entertaining than racking up the points, so he has some ground to make up.
Other likely frontrunners include 315 Nathan Webb and 370 Craig Gray, while the rest of the field will be packed with entertainers, headed by the Predators’ 178 Kieran Bowman who has a huge lead in this year’s Entertainers’ League.
The likes of 69 Brad Bartrum, 271 Ashlun Woods and 721 Dan Clarke are also sure to get stuck into the thick of the action, while lady racer 818 Tiff Collins is set for her first outing of the season.
Micro Bangers
The little cars that are big on action should provide entertainment galore. Several drivers will be doubling up between both classes, including national points leader White and Pallett. It’s a dream combination for ‘Zippy Jr’ who usually goes well in a Vauxhall Corsa in the Micros.
Currently very well placed in the UK qualifying points, but usually better known for his crashing antics, it will be interesting to see whether 247 Jon Bailey has his ‘racer’ or ‘crasher’ head on this weekend.
BriSCA F2 star 124 Ollie Skeels likes an occasional outing in Micro Bangers, and usually uses it as an opportunity to let his hair down, this time alongside father 24 Andy Skeels. Continuing the family theme, 31 Bradley McCarthy and 468 Kelven Nichols will both be in action alongside their daughters, recent graduates from the junior scene, 13 Morgen McCarthy and 346 Lauren Nichols.
Others who are likely to spice up the action include 342 Ryley Freestone, brothers 51 James and 511 Jack Licquorice and their running mate 212 Jack Maryon, plus the Manns, 135 Donny and 143 Aaron.
Ministox graduate 330 Jackson Whitehead joins brother 331 Mackenzie Whitehead in the Micro Banger ranks, while 634 Ben and 834 Josh Green are another pair of brothers and 661 Shaun Smith is joined by son Dalton (662) in yet another family connection.
Veteran racer 312 Tom ‘Mr Turbo’ Reynolds makes his first appearance at King’s Lynn this season, and is sure to get stuck in, while 256 Mark Ginders and 579 Gary Beecham are two more long-time racers who should be up for a good crash.
Junior Bangers
The stars of the future will be in action at King’s Lynn for the first time in over a month. World champion 328 Ben Nichols heads the entry, to make it three from the Nichols family in action on the night. The same goes for the MCarthy family, with last year’s world champion 131 Harley McCarthy also on the entry list.
Newly crowned British champion 450 Blake Platts and national points champion 90 Joey Holmes complete a quartet of the formula’s biggest stars.
608 Lennie Murkin also acquitted himself well in last week’s British Championship, securing a trophy place. He, along with 77 Lewis Ivatt, 229 Harry Cobb, 854 Aiden Storr and 993 Luke Nieuwenburg should be among the pacesetters for the home-based entry.
