Unlimited Banger Pre 85 Cars
The Big Reunion for Unlimited Bangers is now just over a month away and all signs are that it is going to be another first-class meeting. Booking is by application form only so please make sure you secure your booking via the correct channels.
The pre 1985 format for the meeting is giving rise to a number of queries about car eligibility for the meeting and so we have put together a quick guide to what is legal and illegal amongst the commonly used Unlimited Bangers. Anybody with some more unusual material that they unsure about the age of should contact the promotion and we’ll get our researchers to check the car out and provide an opinion about whether it can race.

The list above is far from exhaustive – but hopefully it will be obvious that older models are going to be eligible to race and so the table concentrates on the models that have been in production for a long time with several ‘marks’ or ‘series’ during their lifetime and cars close to the borderline of being pre ’85 or not. The German and Japanese models are likely to be the most tricky to identify the model series of, so why not send us a picture and let us solve the mystery!
Drivers have to pay £20 deposit when they book in for this meeting but the good news is that this is turned into £50 payable on the day when they race!
There is a further £2000 Prize Money on this meeting which will be paid as follows;
Heats: 1st £1.50 2nd £1 3rd 50p
Final: 1st £3 2nd £1.50 3rd £1
Merit Awards: 30 x £30
Entertainer Awards: 25 x £40
DD £100 to winner.
