Aaron Patch Memorial

Aaron Patch Memorial

Trackstar and BriSCA F2 were devastated at the very sad passing of 188 Aaron Patch at the back end of 2023.

Aaron was a larger than life character around the pits and a committed racer on track – particularly on his beloved shale tracks and he supported the vast majority of loose surfaced circuits in BriSCA F2.

King’s Lynn was one of Aaron’s favourite tracks and Trackstar are delighted to accommodate a request from the Patch family made to BriSCA F2 for King’s Lynn and the sport to remember Aaron with a memorial race.

The Aaron Patch Memorial will be on the Grand National at the opening meeting of the season at King’s Lynn on 2 March.

Our thanks and that of Aaron Patch’s family go to HKR Services and FCB Transport enclosed car movers for their donation of a shale race wing to the winner of the BriSCA F2 Stock Car Aaron Patch Memorial race which takes the value of the Prize / Cash on the big race to £2500.

The latest sponsors to come on board are Greg Mckenzie and GMC Racepaint who will sponsor the race winner a free paint job on an aerofoil when they need one doing (not the stickers) and Dave and Liz Polley and Polleysport who are donating £100 to the general race fund together with Marcus Gilbert Motorsport who are donating £60 which will be paid £30 - £20 - £10 to the three drivers from the blue & yellow grade whose lap times are closest to 18.8 seconds on the eighth lap!

Our thanks along with those of Aaron’s family and friends go to the following who have supported the prize fund in the race;

Gary North and Teng Tools – Teng Tools 6 Drawer Tool Box to the race winner

Aaron’s partner Becca and children Darcy, Teddy and Lilly - £250 which will be paid out as £15 to the driver in eighth place on every lap with the driver finishing in eight place receiving £25.

Linfield Engineering – Zetec Reverse Waterpump Kit to the race winner

Linfield Engineering - £46 to the first driver to roll over. If there is no rollovers, the money goes to the driver who has the biggest crash!

Greg Mckenzie and GMC Racepaint who will sponsor the race winner a free paint job on an aerofoil when they need one doing (not the stickers)

Andy Steward & A&S Aggregates - £100 to the main race fund

Kev Cope and Alltube Engineering Ltd who has donated £100 to the general race fund

Rob Aldridge and R Aldridge Building Services who has donated £100 to the general race fund.

Rob Mitchell and TMR Supplies who has donated £100 to the general prize fund.

Dave & Liz Polley and Polleysport who has donated £100 to the general prize fund.

Marcus Gilbert Motorsport who are donating £60 which will be paid £30 - £20 - £10 to the three drivers from the yellow and blue grade whose lap time is closest to 18.8 second on the 8th lap.

The Stephenson Family who are donating £100 to the best female finisher in the race.

Ben Lockwood and sixone8 Designs and Laser Cutting who is supplying a special trophy to the race winner and top driver in each grade in the race.

BriSCA F2 & Entyre Supplies – A Hi Fly tyre to the best yellow top finisher in the race and a Hi Fly tyre to the best white top finisher in the race

Autospeed – A hamper of Cornish goodies to the best white top finisher in the race

Trackstar - £188 to the best white top finisher in the race

Trackstar continue to look for additional sponsors for the race to help us remember Aaron in style. Anyone interested in sponsoring the race should contact Paul Butler on 07939 580652 or by E Mailing pb@norfolkarena.co.uk

It is not just money what can be donated but prizes as well. Everything donated goes to the drivers and when donated the money / prize can either be donated to the general pot to be split or the person donating the money can decide how it will be paid.

Aaron will be hugely missed around the BriSCA F2 tracks following his very sad passing at the end of 2023. Trackstar are honoured to be asked to stage this race and our thanks go to those who are putting in a lot to help us organise it including Aaron’s brother Ash Patch, Mike Kingston, Pottsy and Aaron’s partner Becca Sant. We also know that Aaron’s children - Darcy, Teddy and Lilly are looking forward to celebrating their Dad at the place he enjoyed doing what he loved so much. It will certainly be an emotional day for all and we are sure the shale drivers of BriSCA F2 will be out to put on a race to be remembered!
