Introduction

The #LoveF2s People's Trophies, a celebration meeting of 60 Years of BriSCA F2 Stock Car Racing, draw ever nearer, we’re looking forward to how this one goes. It's one of the richest F2 meetings, perhaps ever, with a prize fund running in to the £000’s, fundraised by the #LoveF2s team. Will Ben Lockwood (618) be able to win both the tarmac and shale staging’s to take home the bonus? The hotly anticipated event – Saturday 18th June, 5pm - features the BriSCA F2’s in good numbers, along with the hard hitting, brutal 2L Saloon Stock Cars and the equally impressive, all action 1300 Stock Cars.

Stock Car Racing is Magic …68 years and STILL Thrill Of The Century! Thrills, spills, racing, crashing and bumping the opposition out the way; is all part of the game!

A night of pure, superb, Saturday night Stock Car action.

There are 55 BriSCA F2 Stock Cars, 26 2L Saloon Stock Cars and 36 1300 Stock Cars booked in to race.

The pit gate will open for competitors at 2pm, the gates for ticket holders will open at 3pm. If purchased advance tickets, please have your e-ticket confirmation ready, either on your phone or printed. The pit gate is for competitors only, there is no pedestrian access at this gate.

The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under cover viewing too!), FREE on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, food outlets and other great facilities.

A small amount of food and drink can be brought with you into the stadium; alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. Thank you.

We hope you enjoy your evening with Trackstar at King's Lynn.

The F2 Stock Cars racing for the #LoveF2s Peoples Trophy, part 2 following the tarmac staging a few weeks ago in Taunton. The idea to celebrate 60 years of BriSCA F2 action, albeit delayed due to the situation with Covid, a fan funded celebration with over £15k in sponsorship raised for the two meetings. The list quality, as well as quantity, featuring many of the top drivers from the class including Dave Polley (38) who sure is rapid around the Adrian Flux Arena, but he will be joined by a long list of challengers itching to beat him to it. Not least Andrew Palmer (606) who is certainly one of the drivers to push and challenge Polley on shale. Former World Champion Gordon Moodie (7) throws his name in the ring too, as does British and European Champion Charlie Guinchard (183), plus Charley Tomblin (129), one of the quickest on shale, a very talented set of drivers at the back, but will have their work cut out.

A big grid of drivers through out the order, over 60 currently at the time of writing; so many drivers you could mention; keep an eye on the Issit’s Jack (103) and Pat (113) they could be well in the mix and regular front runners around King’s Lynn. Tony Blackburn (225) is no slouch on shale and could be well amongst the action.  Rob Mitchell (905) is one of quickest on shale and could take some stopping if he gets the break, likewise Michael Lund (995) had a good outing at his season debut last weekend at Sheffield and will be amongst the action again Saturday. Luke Woodhull (344) picked up a career first win and will be hoping for more again, whilst Marcus Gilbert (43) always goes well around the King’s Lynn Shale. Barry Clow (597) has found some form and has been a race winner on a couple of occasions at King’s Lynn already in 2022, will he be adding to that on Saturday?

A huge amount of credit goes to the #LoveF2s Team for getting this going, well done all! Good luck to Ben Lockwood (618) who won the first event in Taunton, if he wins Saturday’s main race he will be on for an additional cash prize money bonus, can he do the double?!

The 2L Saloons join us with most of the top drivers looking to be on track. Topping the line up is Timmy Barnes (131) the current holder of the gold roof, he is no slouch around King’s Lynn and expect him to be very much in the mix this evening. Michael Allard (349) should be a top tip for top honours this evening too, one to keep an eye on for sure! Rowan Venni (370) certainly found his feet in 2021 and could certainly be one to watch this evening; similarly Richard Regan (319) who was a feature final winner here earlier this year. Wes Starmer (525) has been in good form all season so far and will be in the middle of the action, similarly the Barnes family need no encouragement to use the front bumper and will be making sure they use it to full effect. Good luck to Lizzie Crowden (184) and Alfie Aldous (238), the pair were racking up points in the first part of the season, making the most of their white grade start, but now moving to the mid-grid, could find themselves working abit harder for their places… time will tell, but they should still be in the mix. Connor Peckham (99) and Tom Yould (214) could feature well going from the yellows; Tom Atkins (393) who has found some good results already this year, particularly on tarmac and it will be interesting to see how he does Saturday. Rob Heanes (13) always features well too, a number change for the rest of the year in tribute to his mechanic Les Pell who sadly passed away.

The 1300 Stock Cars continue to show their merit as one of the top formulas; almost 40 scheduled. National Points Champion Jacob Bromley (303) tops the list, the Trackstar Silver roof will be looking to get his campaign off to a good start. Todd Payne (149) is back up to red and will be wanting to make sure he doesn’t go back down the grades again; whilst Jake Banwell (391) had a steady night last time, but will be hoping to improve on those finishes this evening.

The higher graders struggling to get into the top positions last time, with mainly the lower graders picking up the wins. Kyle Futter (227) picked up the opening race, and hoping for more of the same this time. Conor Sheldrake (535) was victorious in the second just piping second place to the win. Whilst Darren Smith (83) taking the feature final on the night, back again and hoping to make it two in a row on Saturday. The 1300’s do not disappoint and one of the best formulas for consistent action; keep your eyes peeled!

LoveF2 People's Trophy

#lovef2s works closely with F2 drivers, from both the tarmac and shale disciplines, to provide race fans with lots of behind the scenes information, race results, driver video interviews, ‘workshop-lives’, features and on-track action, with one purpose in mind… to “lovef2s” and promote the formula as much as possible.

In 2019 the idea (some might say crazy idea) was hatched to raise a £10,000 driver prize fund to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of BriSCA F2 Stock Car Racing in 2020, and thus the concept of the #lovef2s People’s Trophies Meetings was born. #lovef2s wanted to do something special that had never been done before in the world of F2 Stock Car Racing. The plan was inspired by a similar venture a number of years ago where Dick Hillard raised a £10k prize fund for the National Hot Rod “Best in Britain” meeting held at the iconic Wimbledon Stadium. Surely this could be done for BriSCA F2 Stock Car drivers by #lovef2s and fans of the formula… how hard could it be?!?!

After a little bit of thought and consideration, the idea came to life of hosting two meetings with a prize fund of £10,000 split between them; one on shale and the other tarmac. As funding was to come from the fans, it seemed only logical to name them as the ‘#lovef2s People’s Trophies’
