Trackstar Racing Update – 13th July 2021
Following the Government announcement that restrictions will be lifted on the 19th July, we would like to update everyone on ways of working at King’s Lynn going forward.
Firstly, we would like to say a huge thank you to EVERYONE who has supported us during the Covid 19 pandemic and abiding by the necessary regulations needed for us to just be able to open the doors. And if you made the decision to stay away for your own reasons, we also understand and we hope to see you soon.
Since August 2020, we have, when regulations allowed, been fortunate to have been able to operate in a World where many businesses haven’t and some have very sadly ceased trading, your support – be it turning in laps at the practice days, a driver and team coming along to a race day, or a fan wanting to be trackside – has been very much appreciated. The last 12 months have been a tough trading time, particularly without on the day Box office sales, we do appreciate the fortunate position we were in, but it has been very hard work. The lifting of restrictions will come as a very welcome relief to many, including ourselves, but we must all remember to continue doing the right things going forward. A massive thank you again to all once again for your support of Trackstar, it is hugely appreciated, and we cannot thank you enough.
So … going forward:
- Tickets will remain available in advance to purchase for meetings, but will NOT be necessary. Customers will have the option to purchase tickets at the Box Office once again on the day. Advance tickets will be discounted to the on the day prices and will be available 10 days prior to events.
- Kids 11 and under will once again go free – but only when booked in advance.
- Capacity restrictions will be lifted and the backstraight will reopen to the general public.
- Face coverings will no longer be mandatory, but encouraged in enclosed spaces. If you feel you need to continue to wear a face covering outside, please do. The NHS track and trace QR code will remain available around the Stadium and visitors should continue to check in please.
We understand further guidance and support from Local authorities is due imminently and we will provide further updates as soon as we can when more is known.
We know Pit access is a big aspect of going racing and many fans miss this. We will provide a further update on this in due course.
