Introduction

Part 2 of our Easter Weekend Special at the Adrian Flux Arena; our hugely popular and entertaining WACKY RACES DAY! Bank Holiday Monday 1st April @ 1pm.

Four banger classes on the billing - big hits from the 4x4 SUV Bangers, excitement from the Siamese Bangers (where one car is placed on top of another - the driver in the top car steers the Banger and the driver in the bottom car works the pedals) Micro Banger Crazy Races – small cars, but BIG action, three wheeled Reliant Robins - no really! Finally, completing the line up; full contact Stock Car Racing – Sit back and enjoy one of the top Stock Car formulas who are also in action - the 1300cc Stock Cars.

There are 6 Siamese Bangers Pairs, 17 4x4 Bangers, 26 Micro Bangers, 23 Reliant Robins, 33 1300 Stock Cars booked in to race.

A small amount of food and drink (No 2l bottles) can be brought with you into the stadium; alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. Thank you.

Our Easter Monday fixture sees a more relaxed side of racing with the annual Wacky Races event.

The Micro Bangers although slightly short on numbers, feature a strong looking line up. 830 Lee White will be confident of some results as will running mate 28 Mac Bell who always goes well in the Micro discipline. 12 Troy Cobbett, 69 Brad Bartram, 36 Ricky Lewis, 869 Jamie Steele and 644 Alfie Sime will all be among the favourites to scoop some points also. 713 Oscar Preston raced to a heat win last week in the 1600s in his first meeting since graduating from the Junior Bangers and will be one to keep an eye on.

Dutch visitors 105 Harm Ludolphie and 106 Nick Ruiters are back after a top performance in the teams at Christmas and will be looking to mix it up with the locals. The Unwin clan alongside 711 Lewis Hewitt will be keen to have a play, whilst drivers including 93 Lewis Godfrey, 335 Lee White, 428 Nick Ashbridge, 557 Liam Wright, 920 Kaelan Blakeman and 996 Jack Wright are always game for a crash too.

The Siamese Bangers make their sole appearance of the year. These are a great idea, with a large car having a smaller car mounted on the bottom. The driver of the bottom vehicle controls the pedals whilst the driver at the top controls the steering. Expect to see big crashes, rollovers and more. Gladiators duo 174 David Osborn and 560 Andrew Milner and Scrapyard Screamers pairing 214 Shane and 314 Luke Rawlins will be worth looking out for as they’re never far away from the action.

Completing the Banger section of the meeting is the 4x4 Bangers. 170 Chris Shipp and 791 Nicky Young have become specialists of the SUVs, and are both back for another go this year. 170 Bert took a heat and final win, winning the final ahead of 352 Stu Brooks and 791 Spud, and whilst you’d expect the trio to feature highly among the results, they all have the ability to turn on the crashing side. 51 James Licquorice is Range Rover powered and teammate 212 Jack Maryon has the opposite end of the scale with a Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin - both will be getting stuck into the action. It’s a meeting full of entertainers with 117 Lee Reynolds, 165 Ben Randell, 335 Lee and 343 Lewis White and 748 George Matthews all set to compete.

If that’s not enough to get the pulse racing, the Reliant Robins are out on track to keep rockin’ and rolling for the first time here this season. World Champion 1 Lee Waddington heads the bookings, and was a heat winner last time the Robins were here on the Norfolk shale back in October. Running mate 441 Luke Day took the other heat as well as the meeting final and those two will be hopeful of continuing that form. Veteran driver 490 ‘Barney’ Lee Barnard is always fast and will be another to expect to see among the places.

The 1300 Stock Cars were a late addition. The formula is arguably one of the most exciting to watch here at the Adrian Flux Arena, and if you don’t believe us, take a look at the highlights from their outing on the 16th March. It was drama galore in the meeting final - multiple rollovers, bumpers flying in throughout and a superb last bend lunge from 535 Connor Sheldrake to take the win. The leading duo on the Trackstar scene, World Champion 303 Jacob Bromley and 600 Carl Waterfield had another ding-dong in their ongoing feud which saw the former complete a spectacular nosedive. You can expect to see more sparks fly between the pair again this afternoon. 13 Sonny Wright, 441 Reece Legrice and 764 Connor Spall were heat winners in a night of success for the lower grades. Moat paring 473 Dean and 673 John have a good run of form, as has 502 Tyler Bloomfield and they’ll be looking to score more points this afternoon.

Please be advised that there is on site parking and over flow parking in the field a short walk from the Stadium. Car parking at King’s Lynn is provided free of charge, please do use this and not the road outside the stadium. 

We would also to like ask everyone to be considerate of our neighbouring Industrial area and to park respectfully if using that space.

Help the Drivers who Entertain you by donating voluntarily to the bonus fund when buying advance tickets and that will be awarded to the drivers with the most votes!

How will it work?

A suggested donation of £2, and every penny donated goes direct to drivers. After the meeting, you will then get chance to vote for who wins the cash by email & you will also be entered into a draw to win a ticket. The more you donate the more votes & chances to win a free ticket! E.g. £4 donation 2 votes and ticket draw entries!

The driver with the most votes in each class will then receive a split of the money raised and will receive the "People's award trophy" at the next meeting they race at.
