Introduction
Live motorised thrills and spills take place at the Adrian Flux Arena in King's Lynn on Saturday 7th September (5pm) when the Unlimited Banger World of Shale Final heads a series of crazy races!
The Unlimited Banger World of Shale Championship is the biggest event on the calendar. As the name suggests Unlimited Bangers are unrestricted in size and there will be giant Limousines and other big cars amongst the entry of over 140 drivers. Entrants will be travelling from all over England, Scotland, Ireland and Holland for this major event and cars will compete to see who can destroy the opposition and claim the biggest trophy and title the sport has to offer which will allow them to wear gold stripes on their car for the next twelve months!
Drivers do what they can to win the race - which often resembles a 70mph traffic jam - by whatever means they can! The night ends with the famous Destruction Derby where the winner is the last car which can move after destroying the opposition.
As well as the Unlimited Bangers, racing also comes from the 2L Stock Cars which are armoured up cars that take no prisoners and provide as much action as the Bangers will.
There are 134 Unlimited Bangers and 26 2L Saloon Stock Cars booked in to race.
The pit gate will open for competitors at 1pm, the gates for ticket holders will open at 3pm. Please have your e-ticket confirmation ready, either on your phone or printed. The pit gate is for competitors only, there is no pedestrian access at this gate.
The arena has great viewing all around (plenty of under cover viewing too!), FREE parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, food outlets and other great facilities.
A small amount of food and drink (500ml bottles maximum) can be brought with you into the stadium; alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. Thank you. Food is available on site.
Please be advised there is pyrotechnics and fireworks at this event.
We hope you enjoy your evening with Trackstar at King's Lynn.

What a meeting is lined up this Saturday; over 140 Unlimited Bangers are set to contest the biggest and most prestigious Unlimited Banger race on shale; the Unlimited Banger World of Shale Championship. Racing also coming from the Saloon Stock Cars racing for the Bumper Trophy, a very appropriately named trophy for them.
The World of Shale event – the most prestigious race on shale in the Country- almost as old as the World final event, was first staged in 1990; the roll of honour a who’s who of the banger racing scene. Drivers from far and wide all over the UK and with visitors from Mainland Europe too looking to be with us tonight.
Championship events at King’s Lynn are often unpredictable – you won’t know where to look. Last year in the World of Shale title race, over 50 started the championship…just 5 finished. It was chaos.
The best of the best will do battle for the prestigious gold stripes. 455 Ricki Finney defends that honour after a superb drive 12 months ago; he was runner up the year before too and could very well feature on the podium once more. So many talented drivers booked in including many title holders and big race winners, you can’t really pick a favourite! Promoters from across the UK and Mainland Europe have seed drivers in to the big race, over 50 cars will be in the main race itself, with two last chance races scheduled for the rest to have a shot to make it through on the day. Racers, entertainers, the booking list has it all; you do not want to miss this, King’s Lynn is the place to be.
The Saloons join us for their penultimate fixture of 2024, they have had a seriously good year with us and next year will be even bigger with their World Championship coming to the King’s Lynn shale. For Saturday though, they compete in the Bumper Trophy, which has been a staple of the Saloon fixtures here since 2007. 28 drivers currently scheduled for battle as the class also kicks off the National Series competition for the Silver roof, a lot on the line tonight for the Saloons and we’re sure will be a brilliant night of action from them. The fence will rattle, metal will clatter and sparks will fly. You will soon see why the Saloons are regarded as one of the best classes on the short ovals….hold on to your hats!
It will be a fantastic night here at the Adrian Flux Arena once again, and we wish all competitors the best of luck. Who will be crowned the World of Shale Champion; time will tell!
