Introduction

The arena boasts great viewing all around (plenty of under cover viewing too!), FREE on site and overflow parking, disabled viewing, licensed bars, ample food outlets and other great facilities.

A small amount of food and drink can be brought with you into the stadium; alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. Thank you.

Preview: 

Michael “Bandit” Bailey was a very popular racer of the local Predators team, so it’s not surprising a good number of “The Preds” out to remember “Bandit”.  It’s not often you see a full Predator line up due to varying commitments, but they’re out in force and – no doubt – up for a crash! Leading the line up is Team Captain Kieran Bowman (178); joined by the likes of Damien Matthews (87), Brad Bowman (279), Jack Bailey (378), Lee Middleton (519) and Steve Parrish (403) – who makes a rare outing – it’s a strong outing for the Preds. Thanks to The Tyre Bay and Kings Abbey Taxis for their sponsorship of the event.

The Bandit memorial was last staged in 2019, unfortunately unable to be held in 2020, Wesley Freestone (340) the current holder of the title and back on Saturday ready to defend.

Trackstar Banger World Champion Lee White (830) is back in action Saturday, he will be joined by the British Champion Nat Cohn (116), they will be joined by Ashley Garrod (337) who is the current leader of the Points charts will all be battling for the chequered.

The 2L class full of drivers who will likely get in amongst the action; Ross Cooper (604) always likes to get stuck in, Kyle Stevenson (60) and Ricky Hutton (623) similarly aren’t shy of putting the hits about. Aaron Nelson (699), James Licquorice (51) and Jack Rookard (910) also will be ones to keep an eye on Saturday.

1500 Bangers also on the line up, the popular mid-sized bangers turnout with another strong entry just under 70 booked at the time of writing, with a number of drivers doubling up between these and the 2 Litre classes. New Micro Banger UK Champion Ricky Garrod (99) will be on track showing off the Union Jack roof, he beat Ashley Garrod (337) and Russell Gill (77) to the flag after Gill and Garrod got caught up in a pile up towards the end of the race, they will be out to make up for that on Saturday.

Lenny Murkin (608) has made a strong start to his adult Banger career and often picks up a race win when he races. Joel Allen (479) and Matt Tillow (556) also on the winners podium last time for the 1500s and they’ll be out to follow that up with more success on Saturday. Brad Bartram (69) rounding out that night with a win in the Destruction Derby, same again on Saturday?

The Juniors have been having a great season, good grids of cars, great action and competitive racing. More of the same on Saturday with over 40 of them scheduled! Newly upgraded Max Eaton (670) leads the charge and currently tops the points chart, he will be looking for some good form to keep that going, he holds a healthy lead over Riley Holmes (190) who sits second. Paul Chapman (297), Harvey Webb (622) and Rhys Parrin (750) will be ones to watch mid pack, all very quick drivers and could mount a challenge, Webb in particular looking to make it two in a row after taking the feature final win on the 25th September. Reggie Turbull (19) and Ashley Shaw (32) had a good meeting here last time, taking the chequered flag, Shaw in particular almost taking three wins until rollover put paid to that. Another good night for the Juniors in coming;  they have been superb entertainment here this year.

A huge amount of cars, so many contenders and all will be looking to put on a show Saturday night.
