Introduction

Bangers are back this Saturday night! Lots of cars, lots of action! There's not going to be anything domestic about this meeting; with wild card places up for grabs, there's a lot to race and wreck for this Saturday! Action packed, motorised carnage - fun for all the family!

There are 49 Micro Bangers, 49 1500 Bangers, 20 2L Bangers and 20 Junior Bangers (TSR W&Y Only.)

The pit gate will open for competitors at 2pm, the gates for ticket holders will open at 3pm. Please have your e-ticket confirmation ready, either on your phone or printed.

A small amount of food and drink can be bought with you into the stadium; alcohol, glass and coolboxes are not permitted. Thank you.

Face coverings are mandatory around the entire Arena, unless exempt by Government guidance for Age, Health or Disability. Please ensure this is worn when you leave your vehicle.

Preview

What do we have on offer this Saturday?  Around 140 competitors currently scheduled across the night; the action will come thick and fast. Wild card places up for grabs in each of the adult banger classes; spots on the line to be seed into the Micro UK open, the 1500 National Championship and the TSR World Final in the 2L Bangers. It’s all to play for!

The Micro Bangers make their first appearance here of the year; typically throw away machines; the Micro Bangers always provide great entertainment; around 50 of them booked in; the cars might be little, but the action will be big! Lewis Godfrey (93) makes a rare outing, but when he does, he usually is putting the hits about! Lee Reynolds (117) was great to watch last year and fully embraced National Bangers after a career in the Juniors, as did Harry Cobb (229) and both will be worth keeping an eye on. Lee White (830) is always there or thereabouts challenging for the chequered flag and expect the same from him come race time.

The 1500 Bangers are always here in good numbers and around 50 of them anticipated today, former World Champion Davey Cox (119) joins the line up and is always good to watch, he can race and mix it on the night, his Son Ben Cox (9) is also always in the thick of the action too, the Father and Son duo will be good to keep an eye on! Lenny Murkin (608) impressed here last time out, picking up the chequered flag and didn’t move over for anyway, more of the same from him we’re sure! You can also never discount Russell (77) and Callum Gill (757) for top honours either.

In a busy time for the 2L Bangers; they were here a couple of weeks ago in a particularly destructive session, they then have two World Championship events in the next month or so, their numbers are perhaps slightly lower than usual, but on their day they are always hard hitting and great entertainment. John Reeves (188) and Fabian Leathers-Ashley (808) will be top tips to keep your eyes on this Saturday.

Full credit to Trackstar entertainers James Licquorice (51) and Kieran Bowman (178) who will both be attempting to race in all three of the adult banger classes, a great commitment and we look forward to seeing how they get on.

The Junior Bangers were a late, but very welcome addition to the programme. They have been drawing big grids of cars here this year already and providing great entertainment. They are scheduled to be at another track tonight so the bookings were only open to Trackstar registered drivers from the White/ Yellow grade who weren’t already going to Birmingham. Keep an eye on Reggie Turnbull (19) who will be moving up to red grade next month owing to his success, he will be one of the favourites here; Ben Kaleta (702) and Rhys Parrin (750) will also be worth keeping an eye on.
