Thrills and Spills since 1954 and long may it continue. A new season is here as we bring the curtain up for all three formulas; new cars and new drivers, the first meeting always has a great buzz to it after the Winter layoff.
The BriSCA F1 Stock Cars will start the night with their 2021 W&Y Grade Final, these races are always a good watch and are hugely competitive, giving the lower graders their time to shine. A good number of the F1’s predicted, we should hopefully be running a full format meeting, with most of the top drivers anticipated to be with us. Tom Harris (1) and Ryan Harrison (197) were certainly the pace setters around here in 2021 and likely to still be up there once again in 2022. Their time in America certainly does seem to pay dividends. Having said that Frankie Wainman JNR (515) turned that form on it’s head with blistering pace in the Grand National Championship in November, taking the win in that, and with FWJ promising a new car, don’t discount this seasoned campaigner. FWJ’s last new shale machine took some stopping when it debuted! An incredible 15 drivers did all of our meetings last year, including Sam Makim (93) which considering his near-Blackpool base, is quite some doing, more so with the bad luck that followed Sam. Here’s hoping for better reward this season!
The National Ministox form book is now blown wide open following the retirement of, arguably, the formulas greatest ever driver Jack Witts (1), who before retirement took the National Championship here in November in one of his last races, a record breaking 4th title to add. Not forgetting there is another Witt’s on track – Lucy (180) following in the tyre tracks of Sister Courtney and Brother Jack into the formula. The National Ministox drivers will all be itching to throw down their markers to take over Jack’s place, but who will it be? I’m sure we’ll be finding out Saturday! The action is always entertaining from the youngsters who always do their best to put on a show. Three dates for the Ministox here this year, we look forward to seeing them again in the Summer.
Also on the bill are the V8 Stock Cars, hopefully they too should be here in good numbers; the formula seems to always suit the King’s Lynn shaleway, we’ve seen some great racing from them here, who can forget the heat race in 2019 we had, 4, 5 rollovers? We lost count! Kevin Stuchbury (131), Jon Brown (288) and Gold Roof Steve Thompson (1) will be the main contenders here, keep an eye out on them near the back. A novel second outing for the class is scheduled later this in August, we’re excited to see them back here again in 2022.

Car Share Initiative
Not quite like Peter Kay, but….
With the increased costs in travel, we encourage as many people to carpool and share travelling this year. Help others and in turn help yourself too. You might find new friends along the way, connect better with existing ones and have fun along the way… car pool karaoke anyone?
If you have spare seats and are prepared to take passengers, please let us know your location! If you would like to attend, but don’t have the transport, equally let us know where you are from and we will try and match people up.
Share and spread the word; support the sport and in turn help each other
Traffic Disruption
Traffic disruption this weekend!
Trackstar would like to remind visitors to the Stadium of traffic disruptions due over the weekend along some major access roads.
The A17 at Sutton Bridge will see disruption and long delays could be expected during the day. Those using this route are advised to leave extra time for their journey.
The A47 at Guyhirn will see closures too with a significant diversion that might not be suitable for larger vehicles.
Please spread the word
