This is always a brilliant meeting and kicks off what will be another sensational season in 2024 at King's Lynn. New Season, New Cars, New Paint. . . let’s get ready to rumble! Please note the 1300 Stock Car W and Y race will be on at 4.40pm

We...are...back! Stock Car racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena and what a way to start things off in 2024.
The F2 Stock Cars are set for a fantastic year at King’s Lynn; which in 2024 includes the Beechwood Contractors British Championship and the World of Shale Championship; over 70 at the time of writing scheduled for action on the 2nd March.
The list quality, as well as quantity, featuring drivers from North, South, East and West including many of the top drivers from the class. National Points Champion Charlie Guinchard (183) will likely be front runner, but he will be joined by a long list of challengers itching to beat him to the win with around 20 Stars and Superstars scheduled, not least the likes of Andrew Palmer (606), Micky Brennan (968) who are no slouches on the shale, along with Greg McKenzie (47) and Ben Chalkley (69) who were both race winners at the last outing here in 2023. Keep an eye on former World Champion Chris Burgoyne (647) who will be looking for a good night here too.
A big list of drivers could feature well on the night too, the shale specialist Issitts; Jack (103) and Pat (113), they tend to leave here with a race win, Billy Webster (226) doesn’t hang about on shale, nor does Michael Lund (995) and Kyle Taylor (136) features well around the King’s Lynn shale; Josh Raynor (414), Marcus Gilbert (43) the list goes on; we’re in for a superb night of F2 action.
The opening night of the season will see the traditional World Championship qualifying round, plus a very special race in the form of the 188 Aaron Patch Memorial. We were devastated at the news of the very sad passing of Aaron at the back end of 2023. Aaron was a larger than life character around the pits and a committed racer on track –Trackstar were delighted to accommodate a request from the Patch family for King’s Lynn and the sport to remember Aaron with a memorial race; which will be on the Grand National; the prize fund stands at a fantastic £2500 with a selection of fantastic prizes and cash incentives. Aaron’s Brother Ash (388) will be giving it his all in his memory trying to take the win, as will a number of friends and fellow racers; in what should be a fantastic tribute to Aaron.
Welcome to our Dutch friends who are looking to join us, a handful of them venturing over to the King’s Lynn shale – including Ricardo Smidt (H186) who is no stranger to the chequered flag around here and the current European Champion; plus young gun Wout Hoffmans (H248) will be one to watch; good luck to them and Jarno van der Wal (H139), Mick Verlaan (H249) and Scott Verlaan (H449) who all look to make the journey over.
The 2L Saloons join us and race for the Charlene Kingston memorial trophy; a number of the top drivers joining us in honour of Charlene; where Saloons were her favourite formula. Track time could prove valuable with two title races coming up at King’s Lynn in 2024. Topping the line up are a number of champions including the current Gold roof Deane Mayes (730), a number of Winter Banger outings will have kept his race craft in form, including being part of the winning team at the 1600cc Banger Icebreaker, expect the World Champ to be there or there abouts at the chequered flag, likewise Michael Allard (349) the current holder of the Silver roof, he is no slouch around King’s Lynn and expect him to be very much in the mix. National Champion Stuart Shevill (618) makes the trip down from North of the Border and will be hoping to get his 2024 season off to a good start.
Keep an eye out for Ryan Santry (389) who usually picks up some good results around King’s Lynn as does Joey Reynolds (760). Father and Son duo Diggy (116) and Billy (161) Smith are always in the mix too and will be worth keeping an eye on; Billy picked up a win at the last King’s Lynn of 2023. Aaron Totham (561) a few years ago perhaps would have preferred to race tarmac, now very much at home on the loose; he took the win in the Bumper Trophy at the 2023 finale here, racing from Blue to start the year, he might take some stopping and probably won’t be blue for long.
Levi List (151) found his feet quickly in the class last year and soon made his presence felt with the front bumper, we anticipate more of the same this year. Other drivers to keep an eye on in the front half of the grid will be Rowan Venni (370) and Dan Weevers (333), who both go very well around King’s Lynn. Richard Skeels (24) doesn’t take to the track as much as he would perhaps like, but when he does, he goes well, taking a race win at this meeting in 2023 for example.
With thanks to the Kingston family, Arbus Ltd and Stuart's Coaches of Carluke for providing sponsorship in the 2L Saloons.
The 1300 Stock Cars continue to show their merit as one of the top formulas; high end 30’s booked again; the British Championship scheduled here in a couple of months time, the King’s Lynn track will play host to another fantastic year for the formula.
Jacob Bromley (303) will lead the charge displaying the Gold and Silver roof as he sets to defend his points crown. Jimmy Morris (167) will look to take the fight to him; the 167 machine is always there or thereabouts on track. Dean Moat (473) can also mix it at the top end, runner up in the World of Shale event here in October evidence of that, and he will be one to watch out for.
Lee Green (08) will also feature well; particularly at the start when the track is freshly watered, he seems to have the edge. Shane Moat (573) should be joining us in a very smart new car, he will be hoping it goes as well as it looks. Leo Moore (671) a race winner at the December fixture; he will be hoping to carry that form in to the new season.
The yellow grade looks to be a highly competitive group of cars and a lot of them could feature well on the night; keep a lookout for the likes of Darren Smith (83), Todd Payne (149), Luke Jackson (450) and John Moat (673) – all of which are very capable drivers from further back in the grid, let alone yellow; they could take some stopping. Connor Spall (764) took the final win at the Christmas meeting and will be one to keep an eye if he can do it again. Riley Shinn (401) makes sure the front bumper gets used, but will be up front challenging whilst he can – he won the last chance to get onto the World Final grid here in August and certainly one you want to watch.
The Stock Car Season opener, not to be missed... It looks set to be another fantastic night of action, we hope to see you trackside and you have a good evening with Trackstar at King's Lynn.
